As we walked out into the hallway, Antonia pounced on us.

"Ah!" She squeaked. "You're Felix! The singer from Apathy!"

Felix smiled kindly. "I am. You like the band?"

"Yeah! It's my favourite band ever!" Antonia grinned ear to ear. "Wow... I can't believe you're here."

"Aw." Felix's cheeks flushed with slight embarrassment. "That's sweet. I never really get recognised."

"Well, you're not that well known yet. You will be, though. Soon. Because you're so good. Like, actually. So good." She gushed.

Felix chuckled. "Thanks."

Antonia looked up and noticed Adrianna and I. Adrianna waved. "Hi! I'm Adrianna! Nice to meet you!"

"Wow, our names are kind of similar! I'm Antonia." Antonia said excitedly. She pointed at Adrianna's stomach. "Hey, congratulations!"

"Thank you!" Adrianna smiled.

Felix laughed. "What if Adrianna was just fat and you assumed she was pregnant?"

We all giggled.

"Could you imagine?" Antonia blushed just thinking about it. "That would be so embarrassing, I-"

Antonia was interrupted by a deafening yell. Felix took Adrianna's hand and they stepped back as four staff members dragged a girl kicking and screaming down the hallway and shoved her into the bedroom opposite mine, the empty one. From inside the room the girl swore and yelled and threw herself against the door. The staff members, flushed and hot, looked at Felix and Adrianna.

"Visiting times are over! Get out, please! Something's just come up." A male staff member said quickly. "Alice'll show you out!"

Alice stepped out from behind us and put her hand on Adrianna's shoulder. "Hey. Sorry about this. Reception's this way."

Adrianna smiled weakly. "No problem, no problem. Bella, I'll see you soon. Nice to meet you, Antonia." We could hardly hear over the girl in the empty room's screams.

"Tell Robbie we say goodbye." Felix nodded. "Are you two going to be okay?"

"Yeah." I said. Something about my voice didn't sound convincing. "I promise."

"Give me a hug." Felix pulled me in for a tight bear hug before quickly stepping back. "See you soon, girls."

They were rushed out of the way before Antonia and I ran to the new girl's door. We were soon surrounded by the rest of the young people in the home, craning our necks to see into the little window on her door. "What does she look like? What's she doing?" People whispered from the back of the small, growing crowd.

"Hey, hey hey hey. Everyone move out of the way. Go sit in the lounge area." Bill pleaded. "Come on, guys. Let this poor girl settle in. She's younger than you lot."

"How old is she?" Eve asked from somewhere behind us.

Bill quietened his voice slightly. "She's nine."

Everyone stopped, falling quiet. All of our hearts dropped. "That's awful..." A boy next to me said. We all knew what it was like to struggle, and to see someone as young as her in our position was the worst thing in the world. We had a hard time dealing with everything as it was, but being a kid and in this place would be so upsetting.
