All I feel is tired as I walk into school, over to Calum. My mind can't think of anything other then sleep, and my mom. Calum frowns when I come into view, but doesn't say anything. He knows that I'll be grouchy if he starts ranting on me needing to sleep.

Instead he passes me a black coffee and grumbles. Great, now he's in a pissy mood as well. We stumble into soccer practice and change into our gym clothes. Having practice in the morning meant an extra free period that I gladly accepted when I first made it onto the team. It was usually the period I'd nap so I could make it thorough the rest of the day without half assing.

Coach isn't there meaning the Captain would run practice. It's some Junior I don't pay much attention too, but he leads us through warm ups and game plans for Thursday's game against some low average team. I'm too tired to even feel the burn in my legs from all the jogging. Yet soccer would somehow keep my mind off my regular reality.

Along with Calum and I, Michael and Ashton were also apart of an exchange program. We were brought in to a prep school in Beverly Hills from the suburbs of Sydney for different reasons. Calum and I were for soccer—Ashton did football, and Mike was a really great guitarist. However you can't help but feel out of place at in a country a little to far away from home.

When practice is over we change back into the uniforms for school. It's khakis and a blue button down with a black tie. The girls wore black pleated skirts with blue button downs. You could easily get away with not wearing your uniform if your an athlete—that's all this school cares about. How much money they receive from sponsorships, who is sponsoring them. It's kind of dumb.

"Did you at least get an hour." Calum grumbles, shoving shin guards into his backpack as we make our way out of the locker room.

"I got two. But I really tried last night Cal." And Im being honest. My mom was in a deep sleep last night, Math homework was finished—I had the perfect setup for a nights rest.

"At least you're trying." He sent me a reassuring smile. We walk to the table we meet Ashton and Michael at. The bell hasn't rang yet for people to walk in but we'd open a door for them to come through.

Calum ran off to do that while I waited, sipping on the cold coffee and looking around campus. Summer Royce and a few of her friends ran across the halls with laughter. She was the happy girl in this school--never had a single bad day her whole time here and never seen without a smile. Maybe she was just naturally that preppy, she can't help it. I wish I was like Summer.
