We drove in silence to the Northside. Once in the driveway of Fred's house, we stood from the bikes and walked to his front door.
We didn't even knock on the door before Fred opened the door. "Mina Grey, Welcome back." Fred pulled me into a hug.
He held the door open as we walked in. I stood in the living room, watching as the two men exchanged words.
"Well come on." He lead us to what seemed to be an office. There was paper scattered everywhere. My eyes caught words on the paper. FRED ANDREWS FOR MAYOR.
Fred was running for town mayor. I wonder who he was running against. I watched as they discussed something.
I heard two sets of footsteps run down the stair. Two faces appeared in the door way to the office. One was Archie's and the other face was unknown.
She was a very pretty girl, but I didn't know her name. "Dad, we're going to go to Pops, do you want anything?"
"No, I'm fine Arch."Archie nodded and walked out, with the girl following him. I stood, one hand on the work table, one hand behind my back.
My attention turned to me scanning around the room. It was a typical home office.
I just stood there, not sure what I was doing here. I sat down on the stool that was on the other end of the table.
"So how are you doing, Mina?" Fred asked. "I'm doing fine, happy to be here." Fred nodded, understanding.
"That's great, I'm glad you're back here" I smiled.
"Thank you."
"Of course."I wondered what my dad and brother were doing. Even if they did notice, they wouldn't get the police involved.
I sat there unsure of what to do. I fiddled with my fingers. I looked through the endless amounts of flyers.
The flyers all had encouraging messages on why Fred was the best choice.
"Mina, we're going, come on" I was called almost like a dog, but I knew I wasn't paying attention.
I followed FP and Fred out. Fred was waving us a goodbye as we started our bikes. "We're going to the White Wyrm, you can head back to the trailer to get your work." I nodded.
FP and I drove together, before we both had to separate. I drove back to the trailer. It was just silence.
I finally arrived at the trailer and walked into the living room. I grabbed my camera backpack and put my laptop in the bag as well.
I walked back out and hopped on the bike, driving to the White Wyrm. I had an overwhelming need to write, about what? I have no clue.
I drove in silence. It was almost calming, being able to take in everything.
I pulled into the parking lot of the White Wyrm. Parking my bike, taking the keys from the ignition. Walking into the bar.
FP was sitting at a bar stool. He noticed me, walking in. I sat at a table, taking my bag from my back.
"Come, I got breakfast" I looked over at him, before walking towards him. He slip me a bag and handing me a milkshake.
I stabbed the straw in the milkshake, sipping on it before pulling out a breakfest sandwich.
FP turned and talked to other serpents. I walked back to my backpack, unzipping it to grab my laptop.
I turned it on, drinking my milkshake, having to wait to express all my feelings into one document.
