Archie was back. SAT's were this weekend. I was suffering more than usual. Currently, Betty and Veronica were sitting in my living room. Betty and I were studying while Veronica was just talking to us.
"I kissed Reggie."
Betty and I both looked at her, maybe in shock, maybe in concern.
"You did what? What about Archie?"
"He doesn't know, but Reggie keeps bringing it up. I kissed Archie when he came back too."
I watched the best friends interact with each other.
"We should turn the study session into a welcome home party."
"Yeah, that sounds great."
"Yeah, I've already been helping him study already. Jughead and I"
The two proceeded into their conversation while I studied. The afternoon then turned to evening, the iconic friend duo left for dinner while I still sat in the living room, now alone.
I had time to ponder, to think without being interrupted, which is the only thing I seem to do. I thought a lot, and all the time. Archie coming back had to be the worst thing that could've happened.
I packed up things to head to the diner for whatever we were doing tonight. The night breeze touched my face as I walked to my bike. I didn't know what tonight would bring. I placed the helmet on, thoughts still flowing through my big head.
The party was to be small, only a few of their friends would be there, I really didn't know anyone, nor do I care to know them.
I pulled from my driveway, zipping off as I still thought. I thought for so long that it was like I blinked my eye and was already there. I parked my bike, putting the helmet on the seat. I walked up the stairs, through the door, and down to Veronica's sketchy speakeasy.
Everyone was already down there, minus Archie.
"He's here, everyone be quiet." Veronica's voice echoed through the microphone. I took a seat at the empty table, placing my bag on the floor. I listened as the door opened and steps walked down the stairs.
I tuned Veronica out because I knew she wasn't going to say anything resourceful and would probably bust out in song any minute. Which, I couldn't have hit the nail any harder on the head. I was only a few minutes before Archie stood and ran back up the stairs.
I got a texted while another phone somewhere else in the room, another one echoed.
Fangs
The king wants to invite me to join him, get Jug and meet me in the bunker.Jughead and I made brief eye contact before we both stood. He bid everyone he knew a goodbye, while I was already on my bike, getting on the road. I raced to the bunker, anytime I had to go to the bunker, I was paranoid. I parked my bike on the side of the road as I hiked down to the bunkers door.
I climbed down the ladder, the only thing that lit the room was candles. Fangs and Jug were already down there, waiting for me.
"How did you?"
"There's not time for this."Fangs signaled me to an empty spot, I sat as Fangs told Jug, what i already knew. He got close in the gang and now they wanted him in.
"We'll get Sweet Pea,Mina and a few other serpents and we'll be there."
"Text me where you want to meet up and I'll be there. Goodnight guys."I climbed back up the metal ladder, hiking back towards the road. I knew what I was doing, and what I had planned for tonight. Nothing was getting between me, my bed, and my moms journals.
