I never thought I could hate someone I loved so much, but here I was. I was stuck looking in the eyes of Sweet Pea.
"Do you ever think about how bad you messed up?"
"Yeah I do."
Sweet Pea, fiddled with his fingers. I was sat watching him.
"Sweet Pea, what happened between us? Why did you push me away?"
He ignored me, still fiddling with his fingers. I could hear the throbbing in my ears of how mad I was.
"Answer me Sweet Pea."
The fire glazed in a fury, warming me up.
"I want you to know I didn't mean to do it."
I sat, waiting for him to continue, to explain.
"I felt that I was getting to close, I don't want you to have regrets."
"Sweet Pea, you went on a test trial with the ex mayors daughter, you don't want me to have regrets? She's playing you like a fucking game."
"I love her."
"Yeah I figured."
"I don't need to be lectured by you."
Voices came from the the Jones' trailer. The voices followed outside.
"Come on Pea, We're going to the bunker."
I watched as Sweet Pea stand from the lawn chair. He followed the group, getting on bikes to go to Diltons bunker.
I watched as the started there bikes and drove down the road. I sat and watched before heading towards my truck.
I started the truck and pulled from where I was parked. I was ready to go home and sort myself out.
As I pulled from the street, the rain started again, hitting my windshield like hail would.
I turned the radio on and turned it up. 'Thank u, next' was on the radio, I hummed along as I drove, the song only lasting a few more minutes.
I pulled into my driveway, seeing a box on my porch. I parked, walking towards the steps.
I swept up the box into my arms as I unlocked my door. I set the box on the hallway table with my keys. My laptop rang from the coffee table.
I locked my door, peeling off my shoes and jacket before walking towards it. 'Spellman' littered the screen. I accepted the Skype call and watched as Sabrina's face popped up on screen.
"Hello Miss Mina, how are you?"
"I feel like I got my heart ripped out of my chest, you?"I grabbed the laptop and set it on the kitchen island. I walked back towards the box that sat on the hallway table and proceeded back to the kitchen.
"It could be better, I signed my name in the book."
I grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawers, turning back to Sabrina.
"You did what?"
"Yeah, I signed my name into the book, and I'm sorry about Sweet Pea. I have a guy who would like you just fine."I sliced the tape that was across the box, pulling the arms of it open, peering inside.
Books sat on the packing peanuts, not any books, a potion book, and a spell book.
"Rina, you really did it again."
"Anything for my favorite cousin."
"What do you need?"Ambrose popped up on screen behind Sabrina. He set me a small way before continuing on his way.
"I really don't need anything, this time. I though you could use them, they really help me so I printed you copies of them."
"Well thank you Spellman, you really aren't that bad after all."
"So about the boy, his name is Nicholas, he's a witch, he has the hots for me but I'm with Kleo and not really catching his vibe. I've brought you up on a couple of occasions. Maybe the four of us could go on a double date?"
I pulled the books from the box, setting them on the counter, then throwing the box into the recycling bin.
"I would say send me his number but I'm sure phones are prohibited from being used in the witching community."
"I could bring him up with me in a few days. Only if you want, I hate hearing about how mortals don't treat you right."
"Yeah, you are only doing what's best."
It was Kleo's turn to march into the Spellmans kitchen. I watched as she plopped down next to Sabrina.
"How did your friends take it?"
"They were supportive."She sighed, and you could tell she was pained, like something was up.
"Yeah but Harvey was a bitch about it."
Harvey was Sabrina's boyfriend before her and Kleo developed feelings for each other. I remeber how upset he was after his brother died and how he pushed her away.
Sabrina opened her month to say something when a knocking came at the door.
"Coming"
I walked towards the door, unlocking it. Betty and Veronica stood on my porch step, I ushered them in.
"Hey Sabrina, I'm going to have to go, I'll talk to you later, and thanks again for the book."
"You're welcome Gray, talk to you later."
Sabrina hung up the call, leaving Betty and Veronica getting situated on my couch.
"What can I do for the iconic B and V?"
"Well, we've been having boy trouble, and as its heard through the great vine, so are you."
"What are you two on about, can nothing really stay my business. What a scandal."
"Oh, buzz off, you know what we mean, we want your opinion."
"I don't have any opinions, this is real life, the only advice and opinion I have is, build a bridge and get over it."
"Jesus, you are such a boy. What do you suggest we do?"
"What are you two dealing with?"
"Jugheads addicted to G and G"
"And Archie thinks we need a break."I sat there, staring at the two girls in front of me.
"Ok, Betty, I think you're reading to much into the game thing. Veronica, you need to respect what he wants to do, I mean y'all just prison broke him."
