I watched Sweet Pea walk into the classroom the serpents meeting was being held in.

Slamming my locker, Betty came to stand beside me.
"Gosh M, you should talk to him, for your sake."

Leaning up onto the locker and turning towards the blonde, I sighed. She grabbed my arm pulling me into the classroom.

"Betty, jesus fuck."

Sweet Pea's eye's met mine as Fangs slapped his arm, causing him to look up. His bloodshot eyes watered sligthly.

I sighed looking down as he stood, pushing past us. Betty grabbed his ear last minute, forcing him to stay.

She pushed both us out into the hallway, locking the door behind us. I sighed, tightening the grip onto my bag.

He grabbed my arm, with gentle hands.
"Mina, let's talk"
"No Pea, not here."

I pulled from his grasp, turning to leave, leave the hallway, the school, the state.

The heavy noise of his boot clad feet followed me. I looked back, he was following me, and I allowed it.

I left out the back door that led out to the back parking lot. His foot steps got heavier. I felt a body press against mine, and arms wrap across my waist.

My neck became wet with tears. I sank into his chest, finally giving up.
"Mina, baby, I'm so sorry angel."

He lifted me up, carrying me the rest of the way to the truck. Grabbing the keys from the side pocket of my backpack, I slid the key into the lock.

He opened the door behind me, dropping me on the truck bench. I slid against the passenger door, allowing him to slip in.

His hand rested on my knee as he closed the door. The leather of the seat was cold. I slipped into his lap as he cried.

"Baby, I've been lost without you. Please hear me out."

I nodded laying my head onto his chest as his tears littered my hair. His heart soothed me, his breath evened out.

"I was angry, seeing Archie and Josie together, I was mad, and I took it out on you. I had lust on my mind. I love you, and you don't deserve this pain."

The bell rang from the school. I let the tears drip from my eye's as Sweet Pea rubbed my back. Toni and Cheryl walked past the truck, silencing when they saw us.

Betty had let me in that her and Cheryl were investigating into the farm.

I have a feeling Cheryl's going to end up getting really involved, and that scares me. Kevin, Polly, Alice, all the other farm freaks, are really overtaking the town.

I snuggled into Sweet Pea's warmth, feeling his lips kiss my hair.

"Pea."
"Yes?"
"Lets go home."

I slid off his lap, buckling up, waiting for him to start the truck. He hasn't been at the house in a week. I managed to hold up better than him, but here he was coming back home.

We sat in comfortable silence as he drove to the small house. Glances were stolen from us two as we drove.

He pulled into the driveway, stopping the truck, and then looking at me. The bags under his blood shot eye's stood out to me, the way he look, the pain he felt.

I opened the truck door, sliding out, Sweet Pea following suit. He unlocked the door, and I followed him in. He slipped off his loud boots, me doing the same with my creepers.

I grabbed his hand, pulling him towards the bedroom. He followed, complying, he padded behind me, his hand still in mine.

Books littered the bedroom floor, causing me to kick the clutter under the bed. Sweet Pea sat at the foot, causing me to push him back, forcing him to lay down.

His arms stretched out, sighing. I sat onto the bed, picking up the journal that sat on my night stand. I've been doing research on the farm for Betty.

Soft snores came from Sweet Pea's agaped mouth. Running a gentle hand through his hair, I listened to him.

His eye's were closed, hair a mess from the rain. I couldn't fully forgive him. I gave him my 110%, while he broke my trust.

A knock came from the door, causing Sweets to stir. I shushed him before climbing off the bed, padding down the hallway.

Betty stood on the porch in her yellow rain coat and boots, peaking in through the front window. I unlocked the door before letting her in, making sure everything looked good.

Betty entered through the door in a frantic state. Her blond hair fell from the usually tight hair tie.

She rushed past me and sat on the couch, she was frightened to say the least.

"Cheryl saw Jason, and my mom saw my brother."

I shook my head, sighing, and then sitting down next to her.

"That doesn't make sense, how?"

"I don't know, I'm talking about Edgar about it soon hopefully. I'm scared and confused. I had to tell someone and Jug is working on his mom's drug business."

I nodded, walking to the kitchen. I raised a cup, kinda saying "hey, you want a glass?"

She shook her head, looking at the countless papers scattered on the coffee table.

I drank a gulp of water before walking into the living room. The rain hit the tin roof as it came down quick.

"Mina, what is all this?"
"Papers on Mrs. Jones drug business."

She nodded, reading through the papers that had endless clues and idea's of who, when, where, what, and finally, how.

A groan came from the back room, causing me to dismiss myself. Padding down the hallway, I found Pea looking around.

I walked towards him, placing my hand on his forearm. Before any words could be exchanged, Betty yelled from the living room.

"Can I take some of these papers to Jug?"
"Yeah, ok."

The front door slammed seconds after, leaving Pea and I alone.
