There was a shootout happening in the local plaza. Officer Lalisa Manoban was one of the first on the scene and is part of the firefight. She is one of the best officers in the force even if she's the youngest.
"Circle around the plaza and cover all exits! We can't let them escape!" She shouts and the other officers comply. There was a group of 5 armed robbers who stole from a jewelry shop in the plaza, luckily the security guard was quick to notice and called the cops before the robbers could escape.
After 30 minutes of running and guns shooting, the robbers were trapped in the middle of the plaza. They had nowhere else to go, no exit to escape to and no place to hide. 3 of them were already injured. They were getting desperate.
"This is Officer Lalisa Manoban! Surrender now! I know some of you are already hurt! Let's stop this and face the consequences of your actions!", Lisa shouted through a megaphone, trying to talk some sense to the crooks. Back up arrived lead by a fellow officer and batchmate, Officer Park Chaeyoung. She couldn't actually call Chaeyoung as a friend because Lisa wasn't really a social person. She doesn't know how to socialize and make friends but if she would have to list the people she trusts the most in the force, Chaeyoung would probably on top of that list. Chaeyoung has always been reaching out to her ever since they've been training in the academy.
"How's the situation?", Chaeyoung asked Lisa as she arrived the scene. "We've trapped the robbers in the middle of the plaza. 3 of them are injured and we are currently talking them into surrendering." Lisa answered.
The robbers didn't want to get caught nor surrender. They didn't want to go to jail but they were running out of options. They thought that they could just run for it. They might get shot and die but that would be better than going to jail. They all agreed and as they were about to run, they heard something shuffle beside them. They turned their heads to look at where the sound came from and smirked when they realized what it was.
"That's our ticket out of here", one of them said.
