A few minutes before the call.

Jennie P.O.V.

My sleep was interrupted by noises outside my room. Jisoo knows I'm grumpy when my sleep is cut short so why would she be so noisy? I walked to my door and was about to open it when I remembered something.

Jisoo brought our dogs to their vet. I checked the time and it was too early for them to come back. I stared at the door getting nervous when I heard voices from the other side of it. Male voices. My body shook in fear as I immediately locked the door and backed away. I took my phone and went inside my closet to hide. Without thinking, I looked for one person in my contacts and quickly called the number.

"Hello? Jennie?" Lisa said after answering the call.

Lisa P.O.V.

"Please help me, Lisa." Jennie answered with her shaking voice which immediately caught my attention. I stopped the car on the side of the road.

"What's wrong, Jennie? Are you hurt? Where are you?"

"I-I think our house is being r-robbed and I'm in m-my room, hiding i-inside my c-closet" Her voice cracked as she said that. My heart pounded and I couldn't understand what I felt at that moment.

I just know that I have to save her.

"I'm coming, stay put. I won't let them get to you Jennie, I promise." I stepped on the gas and drove to their house, breaking about 10 traffic rules on the way. The hell I care. I'm a cop and Jennie's in danger. My grip on the stirring wheel tightened as I thought about how scared she is right now.

"P-Please hurry Lisa, they m-might find me." She whispered. "The v-voices are getting c-closer."

"I'm here and I'm gonna hang up now but don't worry Jennie. I'll save you. Trust me. I won't let anyone hurt you." She mumbled an "okay" and I ended the call.

I parked two houses before theirs so that the robbers won't notice. I shoot Chaeng a text that I might need backup and gave her the address. I changed my uniform top to a black long sleeve shirt. I took my gun and got out of the car. I slowly approached the house. The police will be here in 10-15 minutes and I have to get Jennie before that or the robbers might panic and turn this into a hostage situation.

"Fuck it I'm going in."

I opened the door slowly and went in quickly. My body was ready and alert as I went inside. I passed the living room and peeked in the kitchen.

Hello crook number 1.

His back was facing me so I slowly crept behind him and hit his head hard with the back of my gun. I cuffed him up and proceeded to other rooms. I only had one more handcuff left and I don't know how many they are so I might have to improvise later on.

I peeked in another room and saw a guy trying to open a small vault. Again I crept in slowly but he turned around and saw me. I lunged at him and pinned him to the floor before quickly punching him on the face, knocking him out. I grabbed my last handcuff but I was hit by a vase at the back of my head. I staggered a bit but stopped myself from losing consciousness. I felt an arm around my neck, lifting me up while choking me.

"I think you're in the wrong place to play hero, little girl." crook number 3 mockingly told me.

"Oh I'm not playing hero asshole, but I'm also not a little girl." I smirked before throwing an elbow to his gut causing him to loosen his grip then I grabbed his arm and threw him over. He quickly got up and charged at me. He threw punches which I dodged perfectly. I punched him in the face then hit his stomach hard with my knee which caused him to double over.

Then I heard a shout from upstairs, "Hey man this room's locked! I think someone's inside!"

My heart pounded faster than before and I felt the adrenaline kicking in. I was about to run towards the second floor when my hand was grabbed. I got pulled back and welcomed by a hard punch in the face. He tried to punch me again but I blocked it so he punched my stomach and threw me across the room.

I spit some blood and glared at the guy. I didn't feel any pain. Instead I felt anger because I need to get to Jennie and this fucker is getting in my way. He approached me, trying to intimidate me while I was standing up.

Enough games. I need to get to Jennie.

He charged again but this time my fist met his face, hard. I threw another punch. Then another and finally, an uppercut to knock him out. I felt my knuckles bleeding but I didn't care.

I ran upstairs and saw crook number 4 successfully unlock the door. He was about to go inside but he saw me and quickly pointed his gun at me. I did the same and we both pulled the trigger.

Jennie P.O.V.

BANG~ BANG~

I covered my ears after hearing the loud sound. Those were gun shots. Oh my God I'm gonna die. It sounded so near. What if they know I'm here? Where's Lisa?? I'm so scared but what if she's hurt and needs my help? But what if I go out and the bad guys are already there waiting for me??

Suddenly the closet doors flew open so I closed my eyes and screamed as loud as I can so at least my neighbors would hear me.

"I told you I won't let anyone hurt you."

I opened my eyes when I recognized the voice. There I saw the only person I wanted to see. My hero. A bruised up Lisa holding her gun, smiling warmly at me. I felt my tears finally falling as I quickly stood up and hugged her. She dropped her gun and hugged me back. Her hug was so comfortable that I cried my heart out to let out all the fear I had. I heard police sirens getting louder and louder.

I pulled out of the hug and looked at her. She wiped my tears and looked at me with her brown orbs that I get lost in. The she smiled at me.

"I guess my number was useful after all."
