Lisa's P.O.V.
The week was spent on investigating about the plaza case. The plan to interview some employees turned out to be all employees. There were a few suspects that came out but every single one had a perfect alibi. We double-checked the all CCTV footage on the night of the robbery but there was no glimpse on the face of the crook.
So here we are, a week after, with zero progress on the case.
Another thing that's bothering me is Jennie.
I still text her often and she usually replies. It was short or vague messages she still replies nonetheless. But this past week, she had completely ignored all of my texts. I tried calling her but she never answered. I can't help but get sad when I think about her. I thought we had a good thing going. I don't know why but I want to be close with her and what's happening now really.... hurts.
My phone started ringing and I saw Jisoo's name on the caller ID. I smiled a bit before answering, "Hi Jisoo! I'm sorry I haven't been going there this past week. I got so busy with my current case, I hope you understand."
Well that and I was scared of accidentally seeing Jennie at the hospital because I didn't know what to do if I saw her.
"It's okay Lisa. No need to worry. Buuuuuut if you wanted to make it up to me, maybe we could go out for lunch today? My treat."
I can feel her smiling over the phone, how can I say no?
"Sure Jisoo, I'll be there in 10 minutes."
Jisoo P.O.V.
"Okay Lisa, see you!" I hung up after that then hurriedly fixed my things. I stopped when I hear the door open.
"Jisoo-yah! Let's have lunch toge— Yah why are you smiling like that?!"
"Seul, can you keep it down? This is a hospital, not a market." I scolded her then chuckled after realizing that I was smiling like an idiot since that call with Lisa. "Thank you for the invitation but I already have my lunch da— buddy. Lunch buddy."
"YOU WERE ABOUT TO SAY DATE, WEREN'T YOU?! KIM JISOO TELL ME THE TRUTH!"
"KANG SEULGI CALM DOWN OR I AM NOT TALKING TO YOU AGAIN"
She laughed loudly and I just rolled my eyes while waiting for her to stop. "Okay, okay I'm sorry. So am I right? You're going on a date with mystery girl?" She asked while raising her eyebrows. I sighed before answering her, "It's just lunch, Seul. We're just friends."
"But you clearly like her Jisoo and you can't tell me otherwise so I want to meet her!"
"Fine! She's coming to pick me up so you can stay here until she arrives." I said in surrender. Once Seulgi makes up her mind, you can never talk her out of it so bother? She beamed and did a cute little victory dance. "So tell me more about her."
We talked for a few minutes more before a knock on the door made us stop talking. I walked to the door to open it. Lisa was standing outside with a big smile. I let her in first so I could introduce her to Seulgi.
"Lisa, I want you to meet my friend Ka—"
"SEULGI?!" Lisa gasped.
"LISA?!"
The two ran to hug each other while mumbling incoherent words.
I am confusion. "Okay what is going on and why is it that suddenly, I'm the one left out?" I asked when the two broke the hug. Lisa then faced me and smiled, "I'm sorry but can we take Seulgi with us so we can catch up? I'll explain on the way." I just nodded so we can leave immediately.
When we got on Lisa's car, she began explaining how the two of them know each other. Apparently, they both went to the same high school and have been best friends for 4 years. They were also in the same dance troupe on those 4 years so they have spent an awful lot of time together.
"Wait, Lisa, you dance??" I asked her. I never thought that she could dance. She was about to answer but Seulgi cut her off, "Hell yeah she could dance. In fact, almost 80% of the school's population drool over her when she dances."
Now I really want to see her dance.
"Oh shut up Seul. That was high school. I haven't danced in years, I bet that 80% you were talking about would only laugh of they see me dance now." Lisa said while laughing. Seulgi looked at Lisa's body and shook her head. "I highly doubt that. I think if you were to dance now, you'd still dance as great as you did in high school. I mean look at your body! You're still perfectly fit!"
Lisa just chuckled at Seulgi's remark. "Of course I'm fit Seul. I'm a cop, remember? How can I be a good cop if I'm not fit?" Lisa said as she parked her car. I didn't even realize that we've arrived. I was so focused on their conversation since it makes me know a little bit more of Lisa. We all went down and headed inside the restaurant. Seulgi offered that she'd pay since she was happy she got to meet Lisa again because of me.
"I still can't believe you really became a cop Lisa. Like seriously we literally broke all the school rules back in high school and now you catch law breakers? Talk about a plot twist." Seulgi said as we settled in our table. "Well, you do know my dad was a cop right? I just realized that I wanted to follow his steps." Lisa smiled but it wasn't her normal smile. It was a rather sad one. But then she quickly added: "Let's eat! I'm starving. Thanks for this, Seul!"
So we started eating while Lisa and Seulgi continued catching up. I stayed quiet most of the time, just listened to their stories. It was fun listening to them. We finished eating and went back to the hospital. We bid our goodbyes to Seulgi after they exchanged phone numbers. Why do I feel like I'm going to be hanging out with Seulgi a lot more after this?
After that Lisa accompanied me back to my office. I was about to say goodbye when she held my hand. "Jisoo, did you have fun at lunch today? I'm sorry if you felt that you were left out. It's just that Seul and I haven't seen each other in ages and we got too excited earlier. I'm sorry." She said while looking down. I felt my heart flutter upon hearing her words. She met her high school best friend and she still thought about me. I lifted her chin to make her face me. She was pouting so gave her a warm smile. "I had a lot of fun. It was nice hearing stories about your past. I'm fine and you don't have to worry. As long as I'm with you, I'm happy."
She finally smiled at me. "Thank you for understanding Jisoo. Maybe I can make it up to you with dinner later?" She asked and I frowned a bit before answering, "I can't tonight. I'm taking our dogs to their vet after work. Maybe next time, okay?"
"Next time it is. I have to go now or I'll be late." Lisa said after looking at her watch.
"Okay Lisa. Drive safely, okay? Bye."
"Bye Jisoo." She smiled then gave me a peck on the cheek before hurriedly left. I couldn't move for a few seconds and only heard my heart beating faster and louder.
Lalisa Manoban, what are you doing to me?

Lisa P.O.V.
I went back to the station and met with Chaeng. We worked on the case but still made no progress at all. It's night time already when we decided to call it a day.
On my way home, I thought about lunch earlier. I was certainly happy meeting Seulgi again. Then my thoughts trailed to when I kissed Jisoo's cheek. I blushed at the memory.... but when I kissed her, I felt—
My thoughts were cut off when my phone rang. I hurriedly looked at who was calling and I felt my mouth hung open. My heartbeat suddenly went faster when I saw Jennie on the caller ID. I took a deep breath before answering, "Hello? Jennie?"
"Please help me, Lisa"
