Jennie P.O.V.

Lisa smiled weakly then closed her eyes as the ambulance came. The medical team immediately ran out and went to where we were.

"Dr. Kim, we can take over from here."

I was just staring at Lisa's weak and bleeding body. Am I gonna lose her?

"Dr. Kim, please."

I'm not gonna lose her.

I shook my head and forcefully wiped my tears. 

"No. I'm a doctor. I'll save her. Help me save her"

I looked over to Chaeng and she gave me an encouraging nod which made me gain my strength and started doing first aid with the medical team assisting me. We patched her up and managed to stop the bleeding so it was clear put to her on a stretcher and rolled her to the ambulance. We quickly climbed on and the ambulance sped to the hospital.

I was holding Lisa's hand the entire trip, monitoring her vitals at the same time. Her heart rate is very low but she's fighting. I felt her move and open her eyes a bit so I squeezed her hand lightly to make sure she knows that she's not alone.

"Hey Lisa. I'm here. Your Nini is here. You're gonna be fine. I promise so hang in there. Fight for me, please."

Lisa just stared at me for almost a minute then opened her mouth.

"It's you."

We got to the hospital and we were greeted by Jisoo, all prepped for surgery. I guess she has an operation today. I already told the medical team to bring Lisa to the Operating Room as I approached my sister.

"Jisoo, I'm gonna need to change to scrubs right now. Lisa needs to be operated and she's losing blood fast." I told Jisoo as I tried to walk past her but she held my arm to stop me, "Jis--"

"I'm going to do it. You stay here." She told me firmly so I yanked my arm back. "No. I can save her, Jisoo. I did it once and I can do it again. Don't stop me. Please."

"You know you shouldn't do it, Jennie. You're too emotionally attached now and that could harm Lisa. We're losing time so please, stay here."

She's right. I hate it when she's right. I can't operate on Lisa because my emotions might get the best of me. 

I can't...

I can't lose Lisa.

I looked down and nod in defeat then Jisoo pulled me into her arms, hugging me tightly. "I'll save her, Jennie. I promise." She said as she broke the hug and ran to the Operating Room. I slumped down on the chair and buried my face in my hands, stopping the tears threatening to fall.

"Please save her."

6 hours passed and Chaeng is already beside me. We wait patiently for any news. Good news, I hope. We jump out of our seats when the door of the Operating Room swung open, revealing a tired Jisoo. I scramble towards her and Chaeng follows behind, "How is she? Is she gonna be okay??"

Jisoo takes off her face mask, revealing a smile, "She lost a lot of blood but you got her here on time. And the first aid really helped her get through it so good job, Jennie." She pats my shoulder as I breath out a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Jisoo, for saving her." She gave me a knowing smile and I relax a little. 

"Thank you, Jisoo. You've  saved her twice now. She should really sign you up as her emergency contact which says 'if shot, please contact:'." Chaeng joked which made me freeze a little. That's right. Everyone knows Jisoo saved her the first time and now she saved her again. Even Lisa. I feel so small. So undeserving. 

I bet Lisa would rather love Jisoo, not me.

I just plastered a smile on my face then backed away slowly to sit on the chair again. I felt Chaeng take my hand, pulling me up again while smiling at  me gently, "Come on, Jennie. Let's see her." I just nodded and let her pull me towards Lisa's room.

As we got there, I took a deep breath before entering the room following Chaeng then I saw her. All bruised up but still looking as beautiful as ever. My mind was in awe and my feet subconsciously just walked towards her, taking her hand in mine as soon as it was within reach.

It's warm. She was always warm. 

I didn't even realize that tears were already flowing down my cheeks as I held her hand tightly, like I was scared that she's going away. I lowered my head to hold my sobs. "Come back to me, Lisa. Please. Don't leave me." I managed to let out under my breath as I continue to sob quietly.

"I never left, Nini."

A soft angelic voice made me snap my head up to see her watching me with her chocolate brown eyes and a gentle smile. I covered my mouth with my free hand to contain my sobs that are getting louder. "Lisaaaaaaa.."

"Hey hey don't cry, Nini. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." She said while rubbing circles on my hand in hers. "I'm not going anywhere, Nini." I nodded and tried to calm down while sitting down on the chair beside her bed. I didn't even realize that Chaeng went out and we were already alone in this room. I wiped my few last tears and met Lisa's gaze. "You scared me, Lili. I thought I was gonna lose you." Lisa chuckled and shook her head lightly. "I won't, Nini. Not now, not ever." I smiled at her words and was about to say something again when she spoke again, "Also, thank you for saving my life, Nini."

"Ah no, Lisa. Jisoo saved your life, Not me. She was the one who did the surgery."

"I didn't mean now, Nini. I meant four months ago."

"H-How--"

"Moments  before I got the call, I was with Jisoo and she told me she wasn't the one who saved my life. She wasn't able to tell me who it was because she was interrupted by the call but when I heard your voice on the way to the hospital, I recognized it from the voice I heard before. While I was recovering for the surgery. You visited me, right? It was you, Nini. You're the one who saved me."

I was in shock, overwhelmed with happiness and amazement. She knows. She knows! I practically jumped off my seat and threw my body towards hers, wrapping her in a giant hug. She just giggled and hugged me back with the little strength she has right now. We were wrapped in a comfortable silence as she pulled me down with her, making me lay on the space beside her as my body finally surrendered to my tiredness and I started drifting to sleep while she played with my hair gently.

"Thank you, Nini."
