Jennie P.O.V.

I had so much fun with Lisa this morning. She just had this funny and cheerful personality. And when she gets shy? So cute! I wouldn't believe that adorable bean was a cop if I didn't see her almost bleed to death because of a gunshot.

Speaking of her gunshot, does she know? Does she know that I was the one who saved her? Not that I need her to know really, I'm just..... curious. What did Jisoo tell her? Jisoo isn't one to lie about someone else's work so she'll probably tell Lisa what happened. Either Lisa knows or not, I can still be friends with her. I want to be closer to her, though. Know her more. Ever since our encounter after the surgery, I knew I felt something for the cop...

Flashback

No one knows that I was the one who saved Lisa so I can't visit her. It's weird for me not to visit a patient after I've performed a surgery on them but this situation is different so I have to follow Jisoo's terms.

I'm doing my regular rounds when I saw a woman in a cop uniform exit a patient's room. "That might be Lisa's room." I thought. I went to the nurse's station to check on her charts only to find out that she hasn't woken up yet. I've gotten a little worried that I just had to visit her. I made sure no one was looking then I slipped into her room.

"Wow..."

I was in awe. How can someone be this beautiful in a hospital bed wearing a plain hospital gown? She was so beautiful, she could stop being a cop and become a model.

The beep of the heart monitor snapped me out of my thoughts and reminded me that this patient hasn't woken up yet. I proceeded to check on her vital signs to see if anything was wrong, but nothing. Everything was perfectly normal so why haven't you woken up, Lisa?

"You still owe me donuts, Lisa so you better wake up soon." I mindlessly whispered.

"Mmmm...."

My eyes widened when I heard a low groan. Then I saw Lisa's hand twitch. "Oh God she's waking up. I gotta call the nurse and— wait. I can't call them. They can't see me here. I should call Jisoo." I fished out my phone to call Jisoo but my phone won't turn on. My battery is dead. Can I be any more luckier?

Then I remembered that her vision is still probably blurry since this is her first time opening her eyes since the surgery. So I took a deep breath and walked a little closer to her.

"Officer Manoban? Can you hear me? Can you open your eyes?"

She slowly opened her eyes and looked at me.

I was stunned yet again.

I got lost in her beautiful brown orbs that my feet wouldn't dare move.

Confusion was written all over her face so I had to say something to calm her down. I sighed and smiled at her again.

"Hello officer Manoban. I am Dr. Kim, your attending doctor." Well technically, I wasn't lying since I am also Dr. Kim. Only the last part was a lie but she wouldn't be comfortable if she thought I wasn't her attending doctor. She opened her mouth trying to say something but nothing came out. I couldn't afford her asking more questions now. I don't want to lie to her.

"Don't push yourself officer. This is your first time waking up since the operation so you might still feel very weak. Just try to relax for the mean time. You're safe and out of harm's way so let your body recover a bit." I told her. She smiled weakly and closed her eyes. I think she fell asleep again. I'm really glad to know she's okay. She looks so peaceful and angelic when she's asleep.

I can't wait to officially meet her.

End of Flashback

"That reminds me, she owes me donuts." I smiled at the memory and chuckled. I just arrived at my house and was about to crash onto my bed when my phone rang. It was an unknown number so I got a little confused.

"Hello? Dr. Jennie Kim speaking."

"Uhm hi.. This is Lisa and I just called so you can save my number hehe.."

Can she be any cuter? I swear to God how did this child become a cop? I contained a squeal and composed myself, "Oh hi Lisa! I didn't expect you to call this early. Is there an emergency?" I teased her. I love teasing her. I could tease her forever.

"No! Uhhh I just wanted to check on you if you uhh got home safely..."

I tried to contain my smile but failed. "I'm home safe. Thank you for asking, Lisa. Are you at the station now?"

"Yes I just arrived. So uhh I'll let you sleep now. Rest well, Jennie."

"Thank you, Lisa. Have a nice day." I ended the call with a smile plastered on my face and butterflies in my stomach. Oh Lisa, the things you do to me. Maybe we could hang out again soon. I saved her number and put down my phone to so I could sleep when it rang again. I picked it up immediately when I saw the caller ID.

"Hi Jisoo. What's up?"

"Hi Jennie. I know you should be sleeping now but I had to ask another favor."

"Okay what is it?"

She was silent. I suddenly got nervous. Why did I get nervous? "What is it, Jisoo?"

"Can you not tell Lisa that you were the one who saved her? I won't claim that I saved her but she doesn't have to know everything that happened. Please just don't mention it. If she asks, just say something else or change the topic. Please Jen? You're okay with it, right?"

"Okay Jisoo. I won't tell her anything."

"Thanks Jen! You're the best! I'll let you sleep now, byeeee!" Jisoo ended the call with that.

I guess I won't get my donuts from you, Lisa....
