As soon as we exited the offices I tried to strike a conversation. "Hi my name is Beth, it's nice to meet you." I said with my hand out waiting for a shake.
The boy looked at my hand, then into my eyes with confusion.
"I'm Cameron." He said as he walked away from me. I put down my rejected hand sadly. I shuffled fast to catch up to him.
As we traveled down a huge hallway, he didn't tell me anything about any of the big places we past. We finally reached the end forever-going hallway. "That's a water fountain." Cameron bluntly said.
"Thanks Cameron, that helps a lot." I sarcastically said. He smiled and did a cool laugh.
"Listen, I'm doing this against my will, so don't expect a five star tour." He stated.
I laughed, he seemed nice, but too "cool." We both continued walking down endless, ginormous, and empty halls silently until we arrived back at my first period class. "Good luck." Cameron said without enthusiasm.
