So, this is my story. You probably don't know me, so here's my life up until now:
The name's Hayley. I'm 25 and I recently moved to LA. I always lived in Colorado, but I was just not happy there. I've been neighbors and best friends with Morgan Adams forever. Morgan had gone off to college in Hawaii, and I tagged along for a while on vacation, but then the college lost her form and she was sent back home. I joined her, ending my amazing vacation, and returning to my parent's old house, where I grew up, but I moved out 3 months ago.
My parents moved to Illinois, and I haven't seen them since they moved out when I was 19. They gave me the house and helped support me for a while until YouTube started paying my bills. I make vlogs and series, similar to what Shane does, except I don't have a cameraman or an editor. I do everything by myself, bit sometimes Morgan and I work together.
I met Morgan and Ryland when we were in elementary school. I wrecked my bike on the sidewalk by her house and she and Ryland helped me up. They got their parents outside since my parents weren't home, just my older brother Nick, and they bandaged up my knees. They have always been super nice to me and have become my adopted family. Now that I think about it, they are closer to me than my actual family.
》now 》
I knocked on Morgan's front door and waited for a moment. My practically adopted mother, Vicki, opened the door. "Hi! Good to see you, Hayley." Vicki wrapped me in a hug as my best friend ran to the door from her room.
Morgan was wearing grey sweatpants and a black hoodie. "Hayley!" Morgan wrapped me in a hug as well.
"Morgan!" We let go and I held up a giant bag. "I brought presents!"
Morgan gasped. "I love presents," She said, both of us laughing. "Come on upstairs. Shane and Ryan will be here in like an hour."
We headed up to Morgan's room and both plopped onto her bed, me leaving thd bag of presents on thd floor. We pulled out her computer and decided on watching some Netflix.
》1 hour later 》
There was a knock on Morgan's bedroom door. It opened, revealing the infamous Shane, the boyfriend of my best friend's brother, who is also a close friend of mine. "Hi," Shane said, poking a camera through the door before he walked in, followed by Ryan- sorry, Ryland, as he prefers.
"Hi," Morgan replied awkwardly.
"Hey," I said, pulling all my long brown hair over to the right side of my head.
"Welcome to my YouTube channel!" Shane said enthusiastically. He looked around Morgan's room at all the pictures of her and her friends back in Hawaii. "You're room is amazing. Oh my God."
"Oh," Morgan said, closing out of Netflix on her laptop. "That was my best life. Now we're in my crisis life."
Shane and I laughed. Then Ryland said, "She used to live in Hawaii and as you can tell, she still wishes she was there."
"We do our best at imagination," Morgan said, making me laugh loudly, which made Shane laugh.
"Okay, so you think this house is haunted?" Shane asked, looking to me and Morgan for answers.
"Oh, definitely," Morgan said.
"Well, there's like faces that appear a lot, like in Snapchats. Well like, you know how it says like 'try it with a friend?'" I added.
"And I have a lot of friends here, that like don't really exist. But that's just how my life is anyways," Morgan finished.
Shane laughed and said, "Same." He handed the camera to Ryland. "Um, here, do you wanna hold the camera?"
"Yeah," Ryland replied, taking it and recofdimg the three of us.
Shame sat down. "Alright, so tell me about your experiences in this house."
"Do you want my full backstory of how the ghost got here?" Morgan asked.
"Wait, you brought the ghost here?"
"One of them," Shane looked shook. He was definitely not ready for that. "My main ghost, her name is Angie."
"There's this moumtain about 45 minutes away from here called Lookout Mountain," I helpdd tell the story. "People go there and do... 'crazy kid things' and... "
Morgan and I laughed. "Got it," Shane held back laughter, which you could see on his face.
"So I took a picture by this sign and this girl's hair is all over Morgan's shoulder," I explained, clearly scaring Shane. "And her whole body figure is next to her."
"And I didn't think anything of it, and I'm like 'oh, it's just a picture.' But then, Ryan was here, and I got really really scared, like out of nowhere. And I was like oh, 'Angie's here, Angie's here.' I could just feel here, but I didn't know why her name was Angie, bit it just was. I would have sleep paralysis, like 3 times a week, at least. It was always the same dream of me, in a cave, with my hands tied behind my back and I couldn't move. And there was this just black figure with her hair."
"Oh my God," Shane shivered. "Oh my God."
"And all night, she would just tell me 'take me home. Take me home.'"
"Okay, I need to imterject 'cause there's a few things I don't even know if you've thought about. One, it is true that ghosts can attatch themselves to people. But they attatch themselves to lonely people. And I know that you joke about being lonely, but is thst like, are you actually lonely?"
"Yeah," Morgan replied.
We continued to tell Shane the story of Angie and even showed him the Snapchats and the origin photo. Shane tried to talk to Angie, but she only showed up for Morgan and for me. Finally, Shane went downstairs to talk to Vicki and Ryland. Morgan and I watched some more Netflix, finishing our episode, then headed downstairs.
