Hayley's POV
I woke up in my own bed and checked my alarm clock. It was 2:15 in the morning. I tried shifting into a different position, then felt an arm wrapped around me. Andrew.
I slowly stood up, careful not to wake him up. I grabbed my cane and walked into the bathroom. I lifted my t-shirt to look at my scar, which was a circle with a horizontal line through across the center.
It was red with specks of purple, and small, wavy red lines radiated off of it, making it look like a drawing of the sun. Sort of. I put my shirt back down and headed back into my room.
I found Andrew sitting up on his phone. He looked up at me and set it down. "Glad to see you're awake. How are you feeling?"
"Alright. Surprised I didn't wake up in the hospital," I replied.
"I called your doctor first and he said you'd be fine. I'm glad he was right," Andrew stood up and stood in front of me. He rubbed my arms comfortingly.
I hugged him with one arm, the other propping me up with the cane. Andrew wrapped his arms around me, then surprised me by picking me up.
"Hey! Andrew, what are you doing?" I yelled as he carried me all the way downstairs. He lightly dropped me on the couch.
"Carnival?" He asked.
"At 2 in the morning?" I answered his question with my own question.
"Why not? There won't be any lines," Andrew smiled.
"Fine. Let's go."

"You're right about the lines," I told Andrew as he parked his car on the pier. "But you realize I can't exactly walk, right?"
We both got out of his car and met right in front of it, our fingers intertwining. "Well, then I'll just have to carry you."
Andrew and I walked to the entrance gate of the fairgrounds and he paid $10 so we could get in. They gave us wristbands that allowed us to ride everything.
We tried the bumper cars, the clown-balloon game where you spray water into its mouth to see who can fill the balloon the fastest- which I ended up winning, and a ring toss game, where Andrew won me a giant teddy bear.
We laughed at a joke and sat down on one of the benches. There was a loud speaker playing music by us. The first song ended, and then Here's To Never Growing Up by Avril Lavigne came on.
Andrew stood up and offered me his hand. I cocked my head at him and set down my teddy bear. I stood up with my cane and Andrew and I danced like idiots as best we could.
Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs
With the boombox blaring as we're falling in love
I got a bottle of whatever, but it's gotten us drunk
Singing here's to never growing up
Call up all our friends, go hard this weekend
For no damn reason, I don't think we'll ever change
Meet you at the spot, half past ten o'clock
We don't ever stop, and we're never gonna change
"We should do this more often!" I smiled at Andrew as he spun me around.
"Having fun?"
"Best night of my life!"
Say, won't you say forever stay
If you stay forever hey
We can stay forever young
Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love
I got a bottle of whatever, but it's getting us drunk
Singing, here's to never growing up
We'll be running down the street, yelling "Kiss my ass!"
I'm like yeah whatever, we're still living like that
When the sun's going down, we'll be raising our cups
Singing, here's to never growing up
Oh whoa, oh whoa, here's to never growing up
Oh whoa, oh whoa, here's to never growing up
"Hayley, I love you."
"I love you too, Andrew."
We live like rock stars, dance on every bar
This is who we are, I don't think we'll ever change
They say just grow up, but they don't know us
We don't give a fuck, and we're never gonna change
Say, won't you say forever stay
If you stay forever hey
We can stay forever young
Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love
I got a bottle of whatever, but it's getting us drunk
Singing, here's to never growing up
At this point, we were both singing along.
We'll be running down the street, yelling "Kiss my ass!"
I'm like yeah whatever, we're still living like that
When the sun's going down, we'll be raising our cups
Singing, here's to never growing up
Oh whoa, oh whoa, here's to never growing up
Oh whoa, oh whoa, here's to never growing up
Say, won't you say forever stay
If you stay forever hey
We can stay forever young
Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love
I got a bottle of whatever, but it's getting us drunk
Singing, here's to never growing up
We'll be running down the street, yelling "Kiss my ass!"
I'm like yeah whatever, we're still living like that
When the sun's going down, we'll be raising our cups
Singing, here's to never growing up
Oh whoa, oh whoa, here's to never growing up
Oh whoa, oh whoa, here's to never growing up
Oh whoa, oh whoa, here's to never growing up
Oh whoa, oh whoa, here's to never growing up
As the next song -whatever it was- started playing, Andrew and I collapsed onto the bench it laughter and smiles. It has been such a long time since I had had that much fun.
