The next day came around and dad and Jeremy were still with us. Elena and I had been with them almost the whole time. I went to the Salvatore's to freshen up as Elena went to get food and they waited in the cemetery. If someone saw them they'd definitely get in trouble.
As I walked to the door I heard Bon Jovi playing loudly. I smiled lightly and walked in to see Stefan drinking whiskey and a girl dancing.
"Am I missing a party?" I asked looking at Stefan.
He turned to me and hummed lightly. The girl stopped dancing for a second and walked over. "You're Emma." She spoke before Stefan could.
"Yeah." I responded confused as to how she knew me.
"Don't mind her she just casually stalks me." Stefan joked and I let out a soft laugh.
"Are you a ghost too?" I asked curiously.
"Yeah ever since Stefan's birthday last year." She explained as I nodded. What a weird day to go. "Well if Stefan had manners he'd introduce me." She changed the subject.
"Emma this is Lexi." Stefan smiled as he walked over putting his arm around her. "She's my best friend."
"Nice to meet you. I'd love to stay and catch up on all things Stefan, but I just came to shower if that's okay. I'm meeting my dad at the cemetery." I explained.
"The cemetery. How ominous." Lexi commented.
"Yeah anywhere else and someone would shit there pants upon seeing two people who are supposed to be dead." I smiled lightly to her as she chuckled.
"The shower is upstairs." Stefan smiled to me as I nodded.
"Thanks." I nodded as I headed upstairs. I finished up and when I was done I headed downstairs to see them gone. I got to the cemetery and saw them all sitting together.
"All cleaned up?" Dad asked as I nodded sitting next to Elena.
"Yeah and I met Lexi." I added grabbing a French fry.
"Lexi's back?" Elena asked.
"Yep." I nodded. "So how's the burgers?" I asked as they shoved them in there mouth.
"Heaven." Jeremy replied his mouth full as dad swigged some bourbon.
Elena grabbed it and drank some. "Hey. Hey."
"Hey she just got her humanity back. Let her live a little." Jeremy smiled as he grabbed for the bottle.
"No." Elena replied fighting back to keep it. "You wish."
"I'm dead. What are they gonna do? Throw me in juvie?" Jeremy joked as I laughed lightly.
"Well then at least you'd have a place to live." Dad replied as I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You both suck!" Elena spoke throwing fries at them.
"What exactly did I miss?" I asked confused.
"Elena burned down our house after I died." Jeremy replied.
"Wow you are a crazy one aren't you?" I asked as she nudged me and I laughed and so did she.
"There it is. That smile." Dad looked at Elena. "Didn't think I'd see it again." He added.
Elena started to get teary eyes. "I did some pretty terrible things." Elena spoke with a slight whimper.
