I woke up to Stefan brushing through my hair. I grumbled lightly. "Can't I sleep in?" I asked quietly.
"Duty calls, Babe." He replied quietly as he kissed the back of my head. "Damon thinks there's a way to get Bonnie back but it's in Portland. I thought you might want to join."
"What, you aren't going to make me a Thanksgiving meal?" I asked turning to him still keeping my eyes closed and staying comfy under the blankets.
"No, but Alaric is coming with us so it might be like family bonding." He replied.
"You want to hang out with my dad?" I questioned unsure.
"Well I'm not his favorite person, I know that, but I'd like to make it better, you know, for you." He replied as I smiled lightly my eyes still closed. "Open your eyes." He let out a soft chuckle. "You can't stay asleep forever."
"Ugh, I wish." I groaned as I pulled the blankets over me more. I felt Stefan kiss my forehead. He grabbed my hand and held it before dropping it on my face. "Stefan!" I grumbled as I looked up at him. He had a smug smile plastered on his face and I couldn't deny how adorable it was.
"Come on, don't you want to go?" He asked tilting his head lightly.
"I don't know. It'll take some convincing." I replied as I smiled lightly at him.
"Oh really?" He asked as I nodded still laying on the pillow. He sat down and laid next to me putting his face close to mine. I leaned in to kiss him but he sat up. "Yeah no I guess I'll go on my own." He sighed lightly.
"Oh you tease!" I squealed as I grabbed his arm pulling him down to kiss him a few times. He grabbed my waist and pulled away.
"Look you're almost already out of bed." He rubbed my sides as I took a deep breath putting my head on his shoulder.
I took in his scent for a second. "Fine, but just because I find you trying to talk to my dad so amusing." I replied kissing the side of his neck lightly.
"Oh so you're coming to watch me struggle?" He asked as I stood up.
"Yup." I replied as I stretched looking out the window. "And of course because road trips with you are fun." I added as he wrapped around behind me resting his arms on my shoulders. He kissed my cheek and I held his arms.
"Well you have an hour." He sighed as he let go of me and I went to the bathroom.
We headed out and onto a plane. Damon was joining us too and on the plane I was in between Stefan and Dad while Damon was behind me. He kept kicking my seat like a kid. "Who invited you?" I asked angrily turning to him.
"Oh does this bother you?" He asked raising his eyebrow. I was about to comment but he put earphones on. I looked at his glass of bourbon and I made it light on fire, almost on command. He looked at it and blew at it. I concentrated for a second and when people started to notice I looked away.
I rolled my eyes at him and turned back around. Our new relationship was weird. He found every possible way to annoy me. Maybe because he was angry or maybe because I was with Stefan, I don't know. All I knew was that it was agitating.
"So what's Jo doing for thanksgiving?" I asked looking at Dad curiously.
"She's doing the friendsgiving at Elena and Carolines dorm." He replied.
"The what?" I asked confused.
"Caroline set up a Thanksgiving for everyone at the dorm and she invited everyone-" he started as I was still furrowing my eyebrows. "-except you two I guess." He finished looking down.
