"Seriously? I shouldn't be beating you." Jeremy ran a little bit behind me as Elena followed you.

"Two weeks without booze doesn't make you iron man." Elena retorted.

"I think both of you could pick up the pace a little bit." I replied with a smirk as I ran backwards for a second. My hair was in a ponytail and I wore a blue and gray tank top and black running leggings.

"Hey I can run circles around Jeremy and maybe even you." Elena suggested.

"Highly unlikely." I sassed jokingly as she laughed lightly.

"So you're saying you can both cheat?" Jeremy asked looking at some volleyball players.

"It's our natural given skill. It isn't cheating." I replied as I ran next to him.

"And I can still naturally pants you in front of the entire woman's volleyball team." Elena observed him looking.

"Doubt they'd mind." Jeremy replied looking at her as she stopped us in our tracks.

"Okay I give up. What have you done with our miserable half- drunk brother?" Elena questioned crossing her arms.

It was true we decided to collectively hang out with him to see how he was doing. We both were worried since we couldn't see him in Mystic Falls and as soon as Elena said it up she invited me to join.

"He canceled Bonnie's cell phone, cried until there was nothing left, and got all the grief out of his system. He is ready to move on." Jeremy replied as I met eyes with Elena. We both looked back to Jeremy and I tapped my foot. I hated having hope of something that could possibly be false. "What?" Jeremy asked.

"It's about Bonnie." She replied as we made our way to a picnic table. Elena and I explained what was going on and how it was possible that she was alive.

"Damon said she found peace." Jeremy replied unsure.

"He thought Kai had killed her, but he just found out that she's alive, and he's doing everything that he can to-" Elena began to explain.

"So you're back to defending him. Wow! And all it took was one hollow promise to bring Bonnie back." He interrupted and turned to me.

"It's hope and right now that's all we need. We have Liv searching. We are going through books and Dad should have the ascendant soon to help." I nodded.

"Jo's gonna let us use it?" Elena asked surprised. I thought for a second and nodded. I wondered if she would hand it over to my compelled father or if he was going to take it.

"And if you can't get to her?" Jeremy questioned.

"Jer, this is good news." Elena tried to reassure.

"You're right, Elena. This is good news. Tonight, I'm gonna see Bonnie again, and everything is gonna go back to the way it was because I have never heard that before." He replied getting up. He kept jogging. I watched him go and I looked at Elena.

"He's been given a lot about empty promises. He doesn't want to be disappointed again. I get the feeling." I reassured her.

"I just wish you both weren't so pessimistic." She replied.

"Honestly at this point it's our realistic." I shrugged and she sighed.
