I woke up the next morning and I heard things crashing. "What the-" I started as I looked to see the bed empty next to me where Stefan usually was. I stood up and put on a gray hoodie and jean shorts.
I got downstairs and passed Jeremy who was only in a towel. He nodded to me as he walked upstairs. I put my hair up and saw Jo standing over a broken vase. I noticed Stefan there too.
"Good morning." She smiled guiltily.
"Good morning?" I questioned carefully walking over the broken glass. "Why- what's going on?" I asked confused.
"Damons letting me stay here to practice with Liv." She replied as I nodded. Dad walked through the door. "Oh yay. Breakfast." Jo stood up and walked to him. "Please tell me that you brought mimosas."
I wiped the gunk out of my eyes. "Yeah of course. You think I'd watch this sober?" Dad replied handing her a bottle. He came over and kissed my head. "Hey." He smiled.
"Hi." I replied still overwhelmed by all of the people.
"What exactly are we watching?" Stefan questioned.
"Today we make s'mores. In a month I win the merge and become leader of my coven guaranteeing its survival. Liv has me on a 30-day regimen between now and the next celestial event." Jo explained almost nervous.
I wanted to ask about my weird powers, but I wasn't sure if it was the greatest time.
"And it's happening here because Damon said it was okay." I nodded figuring everything out.
"And where the hell is Damon?" Stefan asked looking at us.
"I don't know. Maybe with Liz." Dad replied as he put the bag down.
"Okay great." Stefan nodded as I took a deep breath and walked into the kitchen. Stefan followed behind me.
"I have to admit, I like it better with less people around." I told him as I sat on the counter.
"Yeah definitely." He replied as I noticed the bracelet I got him on his wrist and I smiled. "Hey I'm going to Liz's house to set up a speaker system, do you want to come and keep me company?"
"Well since I don't want to witness your house burning to ash, I'll go." I replied with a small smile. He walked over to me and planted a soft kiss on my lips.
"We should head out soon. I'll start putting stuff in the car." He nodded to me before walking away.
I got down and watched him walk before getting on a real outfit. I put on dark blue jeans and a striped white and gray tank top matched with a black jacket. I matched it with my promise ring, daylight ring, and a silver chain necklace.
We headed to Liz's house and I helped Stefan bring in boxes of stuff he planned on hooking up. I went upstairs to grab the tv. I came downstairs and saw Liz and Caroline.
"Girl with a tv coming through." I spoke as they stepped out of the way.
"Oh hey." I heard Stefan from behind me coming from the front door.
"Hey. What's all this?" Liz asked as I placed the tv on the table.
"Stefan and Emma volunteered to help you move the entertainment center here so you can watch tv from your favorite chair." Caroline explained as I looked in the box.
"It'll be mostly Stefan since I don't really know what any of these wires mean." I picked one up.
"I hooked up surround sound to the DVD player and gave you a universal remote right there. All I have to do is plug in the tv and it should work." Stefan reassured as he began to plug it in.
