Dad dropped me back off at the Boarding House and we all drank and had as good of a time as we could. Tyler showed up even after having a crappy few weeks and I tried to cheer him up a little, but honestly no one was really happy right now.

I woke up before everyone which never really happened ever. I had been laying my head on Stefan's, and I realized I fell asleep in his lap. He probably wasn't comfortable throughout the night. I kissed his cheek lightly before getting up and seeing Caroline writing a list.

"Hey." I commented as I walked over to her. "What you up to?"

"Making a list of everything that has to be done." She replied as I read it. First was plan the funeral and past that was stuff with credit cards and other things. "I'll read them off to everyone later so we can get it done."

"It might take a few days." I told her as I held onto the back of her chair.

"Well with all the hands I was hoping to get it done in one." She replied. "Now we just wait for everyone to wake up." She sighed as I nodded.

"Do you need anything?" I asked curiously.

"Not right now." She replied. She was handling it a lot better than I was. When dad died I lost myself, I was proud of her for keeping it so together.

Everyone woke up eventually and Caroline told them what they had to do. She decided to go casket shopping with Elena and I let them have their time. I went over to Stefan and hugged him.

"Sorry for falling asleep on you." I apologized looking at him as he rubbed my back.

"It's okay. It was cute." He replied as I smiled lightly. I wanted to laugh and be happy, but I couldn't, not right now. I felt him kiss my forehead when I let go.

"I'm gonna look for a dress." I replied nodding to him. I put my hand on his cheek before walking away.

I found an appropriate dress and coat combo. I wore my favorite strapped black shoes along with my promise ring and daylight ring, one on each hand.

It didn't take long for everything to come together. I headed to where the funeral was taking place with Stefan. He had held onto me sadly. I didn't understand why it hurt me so much. I guess I never wanted anyone to have to loose anyone and no one had for a while. It just hurt being there and watching it happen.

We walked into the room and saw Caroline. She looked up and back at her mom. Stefan let go of me and I walked over. "How are you doing?" Stefan asked as I looked to her mom in the casket, weirdly hoping she would take a breath and wake up.

"Good, all things considered." Caroline replied.

"Are you sure?" I asked worried.

"Yeah." She nodded. "No." She shook her head. "I don't know." She sighed.
