The morning of the wedding came around and Jo came over with all of her stuff in her car. "Okay so I brought everything I had to. You got the dress right?" She asked nervously.
"Yes it's in the living room." I replied.
"Okay so I brought the press because I figured it might be a little wrinkly and I'd really rather not have a wrinkled dress." She explained as I grabbed her shoulders.
"Hey. Calm down. Everything's gonna be okay." I reassured with a smile.
"Yeah well that is if everything goes as planned which isn't a common occurrence on my side or Alaric side so..." She took a quick breath.
"It'll be magical. I promise." I replied rubbing her back lightly.
"I sure hope so." She replied as we put all the stuff in the house. "Oh and one more thing." She said looking at me.
"I don't have a maid of honor. I know you are a bridesmaid and all but I figured I need someone and who better than my soon to be daughter in law?" She explained as I smiled brightly.
I hugged her. "I'd love too." I smiled as she smiled back.
"Great. That's check one of one thousand off the list." She took a deep breath and soon Bonnie and Elena were here. We were all helping her set up, each of us a little anxious from what we were doing. Jo couldn't find her shoes, Elena was struggling with human-ness, and Bonnie couldn't figure out the steamer. Meanwhile I couldn't figure out how to help them all as they asked me at once.
On top of that, Jo's wedding coordinator had the flu and she couldn't make it which made Jo freak out all the more.
"To be honest, I think maybe this is a good thing! Because no matter how good Danielle was, I am pretty sure I'm better." Caroline spoke as she walked in. Elena smiled and ran over to hug her.
"Caroline, I missed you!" She commented as I looked at Jo. She looked at me sympathetically.
"I missed me, too." Caroline replied as she pulled away. "Thank you for getting me back." Caroline thanked as Elena nodded.
"Hi!" Bonnie said on the verge of tears.
"Hi!" Caroline replied as she hugged Bonnie.
Caroline turned to me and I looked at her feeling nothing but straight anger. "Hey." She spoke softly.
"I'm gonna go start on my hair." I replied not even wanting to talk to her. She looked at me sadly but I didn't care as I walked by and to my room.
I started curling my hair when Jo came up. "Hey we have to get going on makeup." Jo explained. "Carolines orders." She nodded.
"Yeah. I just finished my hair." I nodded as I put down the curling iron. We got to doing makeup which took a while and eventually we made it downstairs to see Elena drinking champagne.
"Hey how about you cool it on the champagne?" I asked as she poured herself another glass.
"Do you remember when you were pacing yourself?" Jo asked with a small smile.
"Heh, I do. Right before I told my ex-boyfriend who's now my sisters boyfriend, how to get my current boyfriend to give up hope for our relationship."
"Just to be clear Stefan and I are still checked as it's complicated." I sighed lightly. "But go on." I added.
"What if I made a huge mistake by taking the cure?" She asked nervously.
"The only mistake you made was that last glass of champagne." Jo grabbed the glass from Elena's hand. "I'm gonna go make some coffee before you spiral through the earth to China." Jo explained as we all laughed a bit.
