"So what's the deal with you and Yoobin?" Yugyeom asked casually, as he shot another basketball into the arcade game's net.
"Hmm?" BamBam tried to ignore him. The girls had gone off on their own, leaving the boys to do whatever they wanted.
"Please. I saw the way you were smiling at her."
"It's nothing!"
"BamBam, I can tell when you're lying. You like her don't you~" Yugyeom teased, causing BamBam to put down his basketball in frustration.
"I don't! I'm just... I'm watching over her."
"Like stalking!? Sheesh I didn't take you for this kinda guy—"
"No! Someone asked me to watch over her for them..."
Yugyeom would've asked 'Who?' but his brain had already found the answer.
"Eww! Mr. Tuan!? That's creepy!"
"No!" BamBam screamed once again. "It's not like that. He did ask me but someone else asked him... and... it's complicated."
"What?" The boy uttered, entirely confused.
"I'd tell you, but I can't. It's not my story to tell."
Yugyeom finally nodded, knowing that it was not his place to ask anymore. While the two had been yelling at each other, they hadn't noticed their game had stopped. After retrieving their game tickets, they began walking to the prize counter.
On the way Yugyeom commented much to his best friend's displeasure, "I know you can't tell me anything. But I can tell you that you look at Yoobin a lot differently than any other girl."

"Why do you have those?" Jihyo asked as the girls found the boys by the entrance of the arcade.
Each of them was holding a fairly large animal plushie; Yugyeom's being a bunny and BamBam's a cat.
"We wanted to get something from the prize counter, but apparently this was all our tickets could get," BamBam answered.
"They're cute," Yoobin said, looking at BamBam's plush.
"You can have it," he replied immediately, pushing the doll into her hands.
She tried to protest but BamBam insisted, saying he wouldn't have use for it anyways.
Yugyeom chuckled, before handing his bunny plush over as well to the girl in front of him, who happened to be Mina.
"What about you guys? Did you get any tickets?" BamBam asked.
"Ahh... no. We were trying to get this big teddy bear from the claw machine. But it was too hard," Mina explained.
"Jihyo really wanted it," Yoobin added as she hugged the cat plush.
"What? No, I just thought it was cute was all," Jihyo tried to play it off.
Yugyeom noticed though, that she was a bit different then usual. Her shoulders were slumped, and the frown on her face was very prominent.
"We should be getting home anyways," Jihyo said, trying to change the subject.
The team suddenly began making arrangements to walk home together. Apparently BamBam, Mina, and Yoobin all lived near or on the way to each other's houses so they decided to go in a group together. Jihyo and Yugyeom's houses weren't as close together, but were a lot farther from the others' so Yugyeom decided to just bring Jihyo home.
The group with BamBam, Mina, and Yoobin left first. Jihyo thought she and Yugyeom were leaving as well, but the boy pulled her back.
"Wait here," he told her, before running off.
She was a bit confused but obediently listened. However she was growing very impatient as almost a half hour began to pass by.
'He probably just left me,' she assumed, cursing her gullibility.
Finally, Yugyeom showed up, and Jihyo was practically fuming.
"Kim Yugyeom you—" she cried out, only for her screams to be muffled by a soft object.
Yugyeom grinned cheekily, as the girl wrapped her arms around the stuffed doll, he'd shoved in her face only moments ago.
Her eyes widened in amazement at the sight of the bear she and the other girls had been trying to get the whole day.
"You like it?"
"Uh... yeah... thanks," she said, somewhat dazed. As she looked up at the taller boy, she noticed his hair was a bit wet with sweat.
Yugyeom had been trying to get the large bear for the past half hour. It'd been difficult but after twenty quarters, he finally succeeded.
"No problem. I didn't want you to be the only one to go home today without a prize," he responded, unknowingly causing a tremor within the girl's heart.
She froze not knowing how to respond until Yugyeom began walking outside. Propping the bear up on her left, she ran to walk to the right of Yugyeom.
Yugyeom laughed as the big bear almost completely blocked his view of her face. Being the sly boy he was, he decided to put his arm around Jihyo, which ended up just being his forearm on her shoulder, since he was so tall. Nevertheless, the intimate contact made Jihyo's cheeks red with blush.
"What are you doing?" she asked, tense.
"I'm hugging the bear. What else would I be doing?"
He grinned sneakily, taking the chance to look at the girl's flushed face. He laughed at himself for teasing BamBam.
I'm such a hypocrite for telling someone else what they feel, when I can't even tell the girl I like my feelings.

Ok like tbh I don't know why I paired Yugyeom and Jihyo together. I just thought it'd be cute since they're such an unlikely couple. Everyone in the friend group is from the 97 line so it just happened
