The pitter patter of Yoobin's school shoes against the tile echoed around the empty, silent hallway. After yesterday's complete chaos and confusion she decided to come to school early to personally ask Mr. Tuan about the situation.
How exactly did he know her sister? Why was Lisa there? Did BamBam...
All these questions were running around her mind yesterday night when Nayeon helped moved Hyojung's luggage into Yoobin's apartment. Nayeon slept over to help console Hyojung, who was practically sobbing the whole night. Yoobin tried to talk to her when she stopped crying, but her older sister was unresponsive.
Finally, she reached the open classroom door.
Good, the teacher's already here.
Yoobin was glad she didn't have to wait for Mr. Tuan, but just as she was about to take another step forward she heard a familiar voice. Yoobin quickly pressed her back to the wall beside the open door, as she peered around the corner to see Mr. Tuan and BamBam conversing casually.
"... so Yoobin wasn't feeling well after she fought with her sister so I took her to the beach to make her feel better," BamBam explained, and Yoobin furrowed her eyebrows.
He didn't know that day that I fought with my sister...
"After that she ended up getting sick the next day with the flu, but I stopped by to take her out a few days later. And I mean there isn't much going on now. I just do the usual and spend time with her out of school to make sure she's feeling okay. But she told me that she was going to make up with her sister yesterday, so maybe things are going good?" BamBam said.
"That explains why I saw her at Hyojung's apartment last night," Mark leaned back in his chair in realization.
"So it went well?"
"I don't know about them making up, but that was total hell yesterday. Sana showed up drunk and made Jaebum and Hyojung fight. I heard Hyojung went to stay with Yoobin now. It's so bad that it totally reversed what those siblings were fighting about."
"No wonder Lisa was so out of it yesterday. You didn't tell me she and Sana were best friends! I totally could've slipped up when I texted Yoobin!"
Unconsciously, Yoobin's fists clenched. Her mind was already forming conclusions and her suspicions on the brink of confirmation.
"I didn't need to. Besides you're doing fine. What does she call you again... StrangerDanger?" Mark laughed obnoxiously.
"Hey, even with that name I got to be her friend! You can't say I didn't do my job."
