"Finally!" Mina yelled in relief the moment Yugyeom and Jihyo were gone. "The tension between them was excruciating!"

Pulling her chair out, she deflated into the seat with a sigh. Resting for only a few seconds, she began to notice how quiet the table had become.

I'll just go find Binnie.

The dim venue was lit by sparsely spread low lights. While many conversed at tables, the center of activity was definitely the noisy dance floor. Alone, her steps lacked her usual confident strut and instead left soft, timid taps.

"Excuse me... oops sorry," she apologized every time she bumped into a shoulder, arm, or other limb.

She was struggling to see against the swarm of people, when the wedding announcer suddenly spoke into the microphone, "Let's get a slow song on! The new husband and wife can we get you out here on the dance floor!?"

Guests applauded and cheered. The crowd squished together to open up a narrow path for the bride and groom.

Mina's lips curved into a smile as she saw the pure picture of love. The groom gently led the bride swiftly to the center of the dance floor; the trail of her white lace dress fluttering like fairy wings.

A bright spotlight shifted to focus on the couple of the night. On cue the soft and smooth melody played from the speakers. Jaebum put his hand on Hyojung's waist and took small steps to lead.

Soon enough other couples were doing the same. As if naturally, the the crowd shifted, growing farther apart. In the new spaces, Mina finally found Yoobin.

She was dancing with her hands around BamBam, a lovely smile planted on her face. Mina had wanted to take big steps and hug her, but she could not find the strength in her legs to move.

Mina felt completely out of place. Slowly she dragged her feet off the dance floor. No one bumped into her again, but it wasn't as if she would be able to find it in herself to apologize anyways.

She had no idea what direction she was going. The only thing on her mind was to leave. When she finally got out of the dancing area, she lifted her eyes from the ground with a heavy difficulty.

If it were a romantic movie, maybe she would have found the man of her dreams holding his hand out to ask her for a dance. But life is nothing like the movies.
