"Binnie, your shift is over," Nayeon said to the girl who just walked into the kitchen.
"Huh?" Yoobin gave her boss a confused look. Her shift wasn't done until 6:00 p.m on Saturdays. It was only around 12:30 p.m. at the moment.
"You've got somewhere to go."
"What? Where?"
Nayeon released a heavy sigh as she smiled knowingly.
"I'm giving you a day off. Now shoo! Someone's waiting for you out front!"
Yoobin tried to ask more questions but Nayeon was already pushing the girl into the small locker room further into the back of the café. The puzzled girl gave up with a loud sigh and opened up her tiny locker to get her clothes. She quickly changed out of her work uniform into a casual outfit consisting of a pastel pink hoodie and denim shorts. Looking over her appearance she wondered if her clothes were even fit for wherever Nayeon was telling her she had to go.
Opening the cafè door, Yoobin craned her neck in every direction in search of that someone Nayeon had spoke about.
No one's here though?
Groaning, she held her bag in one hand, crossing her arms together. Her eyebrows furrowed in slight irritation as she pursed her lips together tightly. As a few more seconds passed, doubt began to cloud Yoobin's mind. Turning on her heel, she reached out her hand for the handle of the café door when a voiced called out her name. More specifically her nickname.
"Binnie! Binnie!" A male's voice beckoned to her.
Hesitantly, Yoobin turned around. She already recognized the voice but had no idea why its owner would be here. BamBam was running towards the entrance of the café, his hair in a bit of a disarray. He had been panting tiredly until he reached Yoobin at the door.
"Binnie," he said again with a smile.
A part of Yoobin's heart clenched at the sound. This was the first time he'd ever called her by her nickname. It was strange to hear him call her by a different name, one more personal to her. It was a weird feeling, but it was a nice one.
"BamBam! What are you doing here?" Yoobin said in surprise, her own smile popping out.
"I'm here to take you somewhere!"
"Huh? What?" Yoobin blinked her eyes in surprise, still not understanding.
"Didn't Nayeon tell you? I'm taking you out today!"
"I'm sorry wait what?"
"I wanted to take you out today. I know you usually work on weekends so I asked Nayeon if you could take half the day off today, and she said it was okay."
