Honey
The benefits of being in this school are two. At first, there was only one advantage but since L came, there are two. I mentioned the first one. The second is I had a couple but real friends. They are from different classes which make me really sad. If only they were in my class, then I would be happy to know their presence is around me. We first met when we had to carry some documents to the principal. In each class one student is in charge of school duties; when a week passes, another student takes their turn. It was my week and I was asked by the class teacher to bring some papers to the head. School chores. What to do?
The first one's Suzy - a gorgeous girl with long wavy hair and a cool personality. She's popular and hangs out with the other popular students from time to time but still, she preferred to be friends with me since she can't stand making friends with sluts - girls you can always find in Seoul High the most. I could understand her from when I first arrived at this school. Gladly, I did because if I didn't I couldn't have been friends with her. Suzy has good grades and earns them with easiness while I was trying to survive and made efforts to have at least Cs. She's generous, funny, outgoing. She's a girl that I want to be... WOW! For the first time, I want to look like someone else. I just have to confess Suzy is a role model to me...
The other buddy is Sungjong. He's kind, sensitive, cute. He can be trusted and trust people too easily, though. He could be described as a little gullible. His hair is medium-length and he's gay. He had just confessed a week ago. He said that he had a crush on Kevin - a cool guy with a bright smile and cuteness overload. He speaks American which made Sungjong faint since he found that attractive. And I have to admit those two will suit each other.
We were having lunch in the cafeteria after three lessons past. At breaks, before I saw my friends, my gaze could only follow L and Hyuna who were talking to one another which irritated me. I was jealous... Wait... No. You stupid, YOU SHOULDN'T?!?!
''Today Kevin is with his blue jacket again. My favorite!' Sungjong said happily as he picked a roll of eggs with the chopsticks.
''Shh, Sungjong! He'll hear you, you know. Our table is next to his.'' Suzy put a finger on her mouth.
Sungjong, when heard her, covered his face which was red.
''Catfish is blushing!'' I mocked him. Teasing him is fun. Sometimes he acts like a girl and it makes me giggle.
''What can I do? I mean look at him.'' The next sentence was said quietly by Sungjong.
''You have a good taste, actually. I mean, dancers these days are getting better and more handsome.'' Suzy said, after that, gulped a little from the water bottle. She felt a dark aura from Sungjong but didn't consider it as a threat. ''And since I mentioned school clubs I think I'm gonna sign up in the music club cuz I feel bored at home. I have good grades so I don't need to study much. I have nobody to be with. Sungjong is working in a bakery and you, Honey...'' She was pointing at me. ''... you don't want to do any extracurricular activities...''
''Oh, so you are saying that I'm lazy.'' I looked at Suzy with me left eyebrow lifted and crossed arms.
''If you don't want to be called couch potato, then sign up for a sports club or debate club, cheerleading club...'' Then she stopped. Suzy looked at me who was with a poker face. In her eyes' reflection, I could see myself pale. ''Oops! Sorry! I didn't want to mention that. Man! I'm such a moron! What kind of friend am I?!''
''Look. It's not your fault. It just happened to slip out of your mouth.'' I replied and faked a smile. I told them about my past a few day ago. They are tenderhearted, to my luck. They reassured me while I was crying. They do care about me. I am so lucky to have such people surrounding me.
