Honey

Today is a jolly, mild Saturday. No school for which I am delighted. As usual, I woke up and brushed my teeth. I went to my bag to pack up for Monday and I happened to find a tiny green box. It was from L and if I hadn't prepared my stuff for school I would have totally not recalled him leaving me this miniature item. I remembered how that jerk hung up on me last night, all the anger I built the previous day returned and I questioned myself if I must unseal the thing or not. He got me so pissed off but at the same time, I was too curious for my own good. I finally opened it and something really beautiful made me touched. A silver necklace along with a colorful small flower; its petals would remind me of a multi-colored rainbow. A note was under the jewelry. I opened the folded piece of paper and it wrote:

''You like the present, don't you? There'll be more surprises if you follow my instructions. If you have time, do as I wrote. I'll be going to a few destinations so that it will make the surprises more interesting.

So, remember when and where we first met? If you do, go there. Till the next task. ^_^''

Truthfully, I wasn't mad at him anymore. With this present of his, how could I? I didn't have any plans for today anyway so I went to dress up. But first, I have to breakfast since I was starving. I needed my nutrition.

''Mornin', aunt. What's for breakfast?'' I sat at the table waiting for my meal.

''Fried eggs and toast. You want some juice or milk?'' She was beaming and hummed a familiar song but I didn't know what it was.

''Milk, if you please,'' I replied as I sat on the chair while waiting for the breakfast to be served.

After eating, I told auntie I was meeting a friend. I didn't mention Suzy's or Sungjong's name and that made auntie intrigued. Still, I didn't tell her. She sighed and wished me a nice day before she made her way to her workshop. I went upstairs and took out my most beautiful dress from the closet. It was white with pink flowers and black and gold leaves printed on it and a black belt attached to it. I curled my hair, stuffed my feet into my favorite, black high-heel shoes. Also, not forgetting my silver mini bag. In addition, I put on the necklace, white earrings, a bracelet that aunt gave me s a birthday gift. And I was done. But there was always this something that would make my brain suddenly produce a thought made up of words which I use a lot. Why did I suddenly dress up like that? I thought I won't dress prettily anymore. OK, except for special occasions but... Really, that guy really went into my skin...

I took the usual taxi. The driver, besides being such a good man, knows all the locations that exist in Seoul, even those out of this town. It was such a relief to have him around. I have witnessed how some cab drivers didn't know their client's destinations and they were forced to use GPS. Like I hear all the time they pridefully announce they knew every place with no exception, yet it seemed that what they inform is not always true. Which annoys me. Thankfully, my driver isn't the type of person to blabber nonsense.

''Hey, Honey.'' I was greeted by this nice man.

''Hello... Mr.Park? Can I call you like that?''

''As I said, if you feel like it, then no problem.'' I could see him smile from the mirror near him.

''I understand, Mr. Park,'' I said as I placed myself in the car.

''You look pretty, young lady. Are you on a date?'' He glanced at the mirror.

I wished I was... ''No.''

''Some kind of occasion?''

''I am meeting a friend,'' I replied as I watched the birds flying to the south. Although it was neither cold nor windy, the wing creatures indicated that soon bad weather would eventually arrive. The flight of big birds positioned themselves in V-sign as they were motioning their wings up and down freely and calmly. It soon disappeared from my eyes and turned to the right from my left side. The car hid the animals' bodies no sooner than later they made another appearance to my right.
