Honey
On my way home, I tried to guess who ''The Mysterious One'' is. Back at school, I didn't reply to them. Still, they started spamming and I decided to log out from Facebook. I was too lazy to block them. At home, I ate dinner which I ordered online since my auntie was working until late and I have no skills in cooking and watched ''You're beautiful''. Hongki! You so childish and cute. And now the main actress is a part of a love square. The situation the four characters were put in was getting complicated and interesting...
After that, I ran to my room and listened to music. I had already done my homework early so I didn't have to bother with it later. I was about to get up to brush my teeth and intending to go to sleep, when suddenly...
''AGH!'' I screamed and ran around the room to find something to defend myself.
''Calm down, don't need to panic!'' The transparent figure in front of me waved her hands at me to stop screaming. Even if I did that, it didn't explain the possibility of the ghost to be here.
''Why?! Why should I believe you? OMG, I'm seeing a ghost! HELP!'' I screamed. ''No, Honey, I'm having hallucinations again. Ever since the accident occurred, your mind has been messed up. That's all.'' I tried comforting myself and glanced back to the wall where the figure had lingered to see if she was still there.
It didn't go away.
''I know, it's all of sudden but trust me...''
''I just... I can't.'' At the corner of my eyes, I saw a pillow next to me. I extended my hand, grabbed it and threw it at the ghost. It went through the silhouette. I knew it...
The ''thing'' didn't give up. ''Try...''
''I can't...'' My hands went through my hair in horror.
''It's your first time to see a ghost, I get it. I understand but I just want to see you.'' The creature's gaze was soft, looking at me in a motherly way.
I put down my hands and approached the transparent creature, slowly and carefully. It was too extreme to believe it was here. I dreaded my family to come to me and now one of them was actually in my room. ''Aren't you... dead?'' I asked.
''Kind of...'' It rubbed its neck uneasily.
I rubbed my eyes to see if the happening here is real. I tried to touch her face but my hand went through her. I could see the outlines of my hand, having this fading effect when entered inside.
''You got to be kidding me.'' I pulled back my hand slowly. Its color shades were in their places.
''I am not. I'm here. It's true. Your eyes don't lie.''
Confusion was revealed by my face. ''How could that be possible? I mean, ghosts don't exist.''
It smiled slightly. ''But I'm the proof that they do. There are millions of ghosts like me wandering around the world and it just happened I'm one of them.''
''Why are you alone? Where are...''
''They already went on the other side of the human world. Big sis... I missed you.'' The last sentence she whispered with a touch of sadness.
That's right. It's my younger and precious sister, Yuki. She was wearing her clothes from the day when the accident happened. She looked too real that I started to cry and sat on the floor, my head down.
''Sobbing's not going to help,'' Yuki told me with her quiet soft voice. I looked at her. Despite her harsh statement, her eyes were full of pain and sympathy.
