The Princess Test

A/N: First of all this is my first fan fiction so please, take it easy on the comments. I'm trying my best here. Now, we stop at from what I know, Raven is the daughter of the interdimensional Trigon. From my research she is also some form of high position so in this story I'm making her the princess of azarath, so before you read on, ask yourself this. What would happen if one day Raven had to compete for the title of Azarath's heir with her brothers? What would happen then? Would she win, would she lose? Read on to find out. (BTW: Big fan of RobRae so deal with it.)

Titans Tower, where the Teen Titans were having a day off from crime fighting. The town of Jump City was quiet. Too quiet, from nowhere, a small eye with a red pupil popped out. From it's pupil came a small ray of light as it scanned everywhere, looking for no one in particular. "Mommy! Look at that toy! I want one!" A little boy said as he and his mother passed the eye. It ignored him and continue looking.

Back in Titans Tower, Robin was punching on a punching bag in the gym while Starfire watched lovingly. Though they'd never admit it, Robin and Starfire had feelings for each other and was easily jealous when the other flirted with someone else. Out in the living room, Raven was busying herself reading a book. Cyborg and Beast Boy had begun a new game of 'Autoracer'.

"Alert! Alert! Tower has been breached! Alert!" The computer system called out. Immediately, the Titans jumped into action,gathering around the eye and looking at it curiously. "Urm.....What is it?" Cyborg asked. "Don't know, don't care." Beast Boy said. "I bring a message for Raven Roth. Is she here?" It asked. In surprise, the Titans turned to Raven. "Yes? I'm Raven Roth." She said monotonely. "Raven! Oh thank Azar I found you! You have a message from Arella." It said. "What is it?" Raven asked, although she had a feeling she knew what was coming.The eye remained still for a moment, then looked upward as a hologram projection of Arella came into view. "Daughter, if you're getting this, then you know what's coming." Arella said. "The test." Raven ended for her.

"But what is, the test?" Starfire asked. Raven groaned, clearly annoyed. She had not want her friends to find out about the test, let alone quiz her about it. "What kind of test is it?" Beast Boy asked. "The test, is a test for the Prince and Princesses of Azarath, it is a test to see how we would fair as ruler of Azarath. There are 5 tests, body, mind, skills, power and soul. To choose the heir to the throne, each prince/princess must compete and the one who proves herself becomes the next in line." Raven answered. "Glorious, may we come and see you kick the butt." Starfire said. "Yeah, no way any of your siblings have a chance against you." Cyborg said. "Thank you, but no." Raven answered. "Oh come on Rae, with us there you'll have support." Beast Boy argued. "I said NO!" Raven said, her eyes glowing white and the lightbulbs exploded.

"Shessh. We only wanted to support her." Beast Boy said. Robin stayed quiet, from how Raven had reacted and because of a bond that they shared, he knew there was a reason Raven wanted to go on her own, had kept the exam a secret from the rest of them. Robin couldn't quiete understand what, but he knew it was dark, a revelation that even Raven herself couldn't bear and didn't want to face.
