The Clover
MERIDA
Before Merida headed to the grounds, she took her bow and arrow from under her bed, ignoring the looks of the other members of the Quidditch team, she expected Astrid to approach her, but she didn't seem to be inside the room at the moment.
Merida thought it was best to take her arrows with her, since she'll be going further inside the Forbidden Forest, and who knows if the bear Townend was talking about is literally a bear. She was determined, and swore that this day will be the day she will find out what Hiccup has been hiding in the Forest for weeks.
Just as she thought she was walking alone, she heard someone, "Pssst!" Merida turned her head and pointed her arrow at the person, and saw the least person she wanted to see today. "Hey! Where are you going? Is that a bow-a-and an arrow?"
Merida stayed silent, stomping her way back to her tracks, but Jack was curious as hell, "Where are you going? I'll just keep asking."
"I'm going to Nunya," Merida said calmly, avoiding any eye contact as they both walked down to the grounds.
"Nunya? What's Nunya?" Jack asked, struggling to slide down a slope. He has already changed to his casual clothes.
"Nunya business."
"I'm serious, Mer," Jack said and tapped the end of his staff on her ankle. "Where I'm going es none of your business, Frost. Dun' ye have your own business te attend to?"
"My business was already sixty minutes late. I'm coming with you."
"Why did you really come? Have you come to gloat? To mock?" Merida said.
"I'm not here to do any of that." Jack said.
"Fine...You could be a little more of help, but aye don't need YE, I jest need your powers." Merida said.
"My powers? What for?"
"To freeze aenything that would attack us en the Forbidden Forest."
"What? That's where you're going? It's called Forbidden for a reason, Merida." Jack stumbled on a rock.
"Well, not to Hiccup et's not."
"Hiccup? What does this have to do with him?" Jack said. They stopped behind huge rocks. It was only then Jack realized they were already in the forest. He readied his Staff immediately.
"Hiccup has been hiding something en the Forbidden Forest! For weeks o' calling hem for duelling lessons, he's been here all the time. I suspect that he's up te somethin', and he's not plannin' on telling me, or anyone at all."
"Merida, it's his detention."
"He's not doing detention at all! Gobber was not even with him, and don't you think et's a wee bit suspicious for someone like Hiccup te go in the Forbidden Forest alone? He's trainin' weth someone. That's why he's doing better and better en duelling lessons and DADA! Even better than me!"
"Well if he meant to hide it from us, shouldn't we just let it be hidden from us?"
"If that's what you think, then go. I'm still going to find out what he's up to."
"How do you even know he's in there right now?"
"Elsa told me." Merida said.
"Elsa?" Jack said, shocked.
