HICCUPThe teenage dragon riders all set forth to the dragon's nest where the older Vikings are aiming for. Despite the dangers they are knowledgeably about to encounter, the children took their time admiring the gushing cool wind and the ocean-like clouds, while the dreamy blue sky illuminated their way whilst dusk. For who knows this will be the last time they will witness peace.
For a brief moment, Merida and Jack caught each other's attention. Both gave the other an encouraging smile.
"Are you scared?"
Hiccup snapped back from his thoughts as Astrid leaned over from behind. She had a genuine look on her face that Hiccup hadn't seen before. "Who? Me? The death eaters wouldn't know what to do with all...this. They're lucky I stayed behind."
The blonde rolled her eyes with a smirk. Then unexpectedly, she rested her chin on his shoulder with her arms wrapped around his slender waist. "Whatever you're feeling right now? Fear, sadness, or anger? When channeled properly, it'll make you stronger. Use it to your advantage."
Hiccup sighed, holding on her words. He was scared...terrified even. For his withering relationship with his father, Toothless, and for Rapunzel, regardless of her annoying know-it-all demeanor.
"Honestly. I'm scared of what might come for us. It's not just the Vikings we're after, but the death eaters. My dad discovering the island could mean war."
Astrid shrugged, "Then we better win it."
Jack, for one, knows they are already at war. Ever since the death eaters attacked them, and the moment he was betrayed by the one person he understood his struggles the most. This is a war where he thought Elsa could have been on his side. He thought the best things about them, he had high aspirations for both of them and for what they can do together with their powers. What could he have done? What could he have done to change Elsa's mind?
Only fate would decide, he supposed. He just has to believe it. They all do.
It wasn't long until they reached what they assumed to be the dragon's nest. There on the winter wasteland, Jack and the young wizards saw the spiky mountain of glaciers that Hiccup and Astrid had described. Suddenly, everything went cold from the breezy spring sunset. They flew around this mountain and settled on the same cliff the two vikings previously landed.
"This is as far as we can go," Hiccup said, climbing down the Deadly Nadder, and assisting Astrid afterwards.
The wizards and witches did the same and followed him and Astrid to the edge of the cliff.
"They're still here." Hiccup said flatly.
"Who's still here? Wait, are those boats?" Anna asked.
Merida joined in last, almost falling over if Fishlegs hadn't grabbed her on time. "Crivvens!"
She scoffed after Jack shushed her.
"Yeah. Death eaters', that is." Hiccup added.
Everyone gasped. "There's loads of them!"
Tuffnut chimed in from behind. "The terrifying amount of Death Eaters in one place is discomforting and all but...what is down there?"
Fishlegs shuffled through his pockets and pulled out a few cards. "Large diameter bubbles. Massive lungs," he said as a-matter-of-factly, "Cold water deep dweller..."I'm thinking class five leviathan. Maybe six."
"Okay, Hiccup. What's the plan?" Jack asked from his left, and everyone else was already staring back at him.
"P-plan?"
