I'm sorry for the very late update. Turns out college's harder than i thought it would be. It definitely is nothing like high school lol. This chapter's a little short and rushed. But I promise you, the next chapters are going to be so much better!

Enjoy!

HICCUP

Hiccup watched Toothless being forcefully shackled and muzzled with a heavy heart. The Vikings were setting up the ships as though they were off to war. They brought everything with them as they set sail to Helheim's Gate. The events from last night circled his mind. A lot had happened in just a span of seconds, and Hiccup felt like puking as he got overwhelmed by everything. One moment he and his friends were on a mission to rescue Jack's ex-girlfriend and Anna's sister, then another was the pointless look-out duty, then out of the blue Vikings had arrived and bound his dragon with chains. Not to mention the part where his desperation reached the point that he had to attack his own father - that didn't end well apparently. He got the chance to reach Toothless, to help him escape, but the Vikings were faster - his father was smarter. Everything basically went south from there.

Yet what swirled constantly in his mind like a buzzing swarm of bees, is his undesirable conversation with his father just five minutes ago.

"I screwed up! I should have told you before now; just... take this out on me, be mad at me, but please... just don't hurt Toothless!"

Stoick turned around, shocked, "The dragon? That's what you're worried about? Not the people you almost killed?"

"H-he was just protecting me! He's not dangerous!"

"They've killed hundreds of us!"

"And we've killed thousands of them! They defend themselves, that's all! They raid us because they have to. If they don't bring enough food back, they'll be eaten themselves."

Then in that moment, everything unfolded. Hiccup hadn't even realized what he'd done.

"...There's, something else on their island, Dad, it... It's a dragon like-"

"They're island! So, you've been to the nest..."

Hiccup's heart leaped for a second, "Did I say nest?"

"How did you find it?" Stoick pressed, charging at him like a predator.

"What, no, I, I didn't! Toothless did, only a dragon can find the island!"

His father paused suddenly, and realization dawned upon both of them.

"Oh no, Dad, no please, it's not what you think, you don't know what you're up against, it's like nothing you've ever seen!"

Despite his pleads, Stoick began walking away, heading straight to the doors. Hiccup with his tiny frame beside his vast chieftain of a father, tried to stop him.

"Dad please, I promise you, you can't win this one! Dad, no!" He said, this time grabbing Stoick's arm.

"For once in your life, would you please just listen to me?"

Stoick pushes him ever so harshly, throwing him to the ground in the process. Stoick's shadow completely covered Hiccup's small build, as he looked up fearfully into his disappointment-filled eyes.

"You've thrown your lot in with them. You're not a Viking," he said, "You're not my son."

It sent an entire shock all throughout his body. Although at some part, he kind of knew this was coming, he just didn't realize how much it would hurt just by finally hearing it.
