JACK
It had been two weeks since Elsa disappeared, and according to the Daily Prophet, there was still no sign of the girl. Her disappearance was the talk of the day – talk of the week, but none of it seemed to bring Elsa back. He visited Anna in the Hufflepuff basement (through Hiccup) twice now, and even Anna hadn't any news from her, not even a single letter. Fortunately for the students and the professors, Elsa's winter solstice had come to an end – only to be hilariously replaced by the real Winter season, since Christmas's only a month away.
However, Jack could see the bright side of all of this. To start with, Snotlout, Ruffnut and Tuffnut are finally starting to talk to him. Bit by bit, they'll get back to being friends again. Although it looked like they still have a long way to go. Secondly, it didn't stop the Hallowe'en Feast to occur. The Great Hall was decorated with Hallowee'en decor, such as sweet-filled pumpkins, bats, orange streamers and water snakes. At the end, they were entertained by the ghosts of Hogwarts – popping up out of the wall and performing formation gliding.
Jack hated to admit it, but everyday just felt heavier and heavier. Jack misses her. That's one thing he cannot deny, no matter how much he wanted to. Rapunzel was always the one to witness his mood swings, especially every tutor session with her. She chose to ignore it sometimes, which Jack would prefer. But he did needed someone to talk to, so their tutor sessions sometimes turn into therapy sessions. Rapunzel's therapy strategy was more interesting than most serious and boring therapies, and their conversations and lessons turn into funny stories and embarrassing moments. It was fun.
Rapunzel was right, he did want to find her for himself, but the deeper he thought about it, the more he questioned if Elsa even wanted to be found – if Elsa wanted him to find her. It all seemed unlikely, since she was the one to cut off things with him in the first place. He could never blame her, and he could never blame himself either. It was her choice, and there's nothing wrong to be selfish sometimes.

After one month of her disappearance, Jack found himself doing a lot better.
Elsa used to be haunting his mind and his dreams every day and every night, but now that he was celebrating his birthday, she hadn't bothered Jack's thoughts even once.
His friendship with the Thorston twins and Snotlout had progressed. He woke up to Ruffnut looming over him on his bed.
"Happy Birthday, Jack Frost," she said flirtatiously and left without another word.
He was greeted "Happy Birthday" with every Slytherin in the common room. Even Patchy and Sideburns greeted him, but of course it was followed by a rude retort. Hans's beef with him had only increased ever since the night of Hiccup and Merida's transformation. So no "Happy Birthday" from the Slytherin prefect.
Jack wore his Slytherin scarf to meet his friends in the entrance courtyard, just to empathize with their hatred from the cold. When he stepped out of the castle, Merida's brothers were the first ones to greet him, singing a very slow gloomy tune of the "Happy Birthday" song. Other students were starting to look, and Jack covered his face in embarrassment.
Merida, Hiccup and Rapunzel approached him excitedly, jumping like lunatics around Jack. A few more others greeted him like Peter Pan, Flynn Rider...and that's about it.
