Dueling Lessons

MERIDA

"That is not how you point a wand Frost, you look like a fairy," Professor Bunnymund said, which made Merida snort. She was enjoying today's dueling session, for Jack wasn't doing very well and he was being insulted continuously by the pooka, which is most definitely in her favor.

Today, they were being taught how to produce a patronus charm. It was said that it was the most difficult charm to conjure. While Bunny was tending to Jack, Merida was in the corner trying all her efforts into conjuring a patronus.

        "Expecto Patronum."

She does have a lot of positive and happy moments, so she was confident she could make one without difficulty. How about the time she got her first bow? How about the time Gryffindor won the quidditch tournament? The time she got her revenge from her brothers' prank?

        "Expecto Patronum!"

No matter her efforts, she still couldn't conjure her patronus. She looked at Jack and the professor through her shoulder, Bunny looked like he lost all his patience.

One thing in Mer's mind for sure. This doesn't feel like detention, the professor couldn't possibly feel concerned for giving them so much work. This is far beyond cleaning books in the restricted section...and seriously, why the restricted section? Aren't students not allowed there?

She wondered how Rapunzel and Hiccup were handling their detention. Hiccup's was confusing too, the forbidden forest was called "forbidden" for a reason. Rapunzel's was the most rational of all. She also wondered if the professor would let them have dueling lessons too.

"Call Mr. Haddock and Ms. Corona, tell them I'd like to see them," from the middle of the room, Merida heard the professor's voice.

         "Merida, you go find Hiccup,"

         "Y-yes, sir."

The two of them exited the room together. "Well, well, well. Seems like you haven't been as well as you were yesterday, huh? You haven't been yourself today, Frost."

Expecting to receive further comebacks and insults, Merida didn't hear any instead. Jack looked deep in thought and Merida thought it looked quite dangerous. He's definitely not himself today.

         "Seriously, are you alright?"

"...Alright? Yeah, alright! Imma go find Rapunzel," with that, Jack turned to leave to find the blonde.

        What's wrong with him?

HICCUP

"Can I have this too, Gobber?"

"Uh, sure! Where on earth will you use that lad?"

After hearing that Gobber won't be having any tasks to do right now, he believed building a saddle and a fake tail for the poor downed dragon now is the perfect time to do it.

"Uh...Just doing stuff like I do back home!"

He took a few more things from Gobber's basement such as leather, cables, pulleys and gears. He had his mind set on finishing this all up tonight, so by tomorrow, he'll be trying it out on the dragon. All that he's going to worry about is what he will be feeding the toothless dragon.
