"Hey, Luke! Wait up!"

Luke stopped in his tracks and turned around, seeing Ashton jogging towards him. "Hey." the blonde grinned timidly as Ashton came up beside him and the two started walking towards the cafeteria. "So, I wanted to ask, if you wanted to come to my house after school? You know, to help me plan out Mike's birthday?" Luke narrowed his eyebrows "What's there to plan? I thought you just wanted to hang out with him?" he asked, not in a rude way. He was just confused.

Ashton shyly tugged on his bottom lip "Mmh... well, I still wanna surprise him and make it, like... cool? I don't know," the boy sighed, cheeks tinting pink. Luke patted his back and opened the cafeteria door "It's okay. I'll help you. Meet me at the bench outside after school?" Ashton nodded and saw Michael sitting alone by their usual table. As the two boys approached the table Ashton sent Luke a knowing look.

Luke took his usual seat beside Michael. The galaxy-haired boy smiled softly and kisses Luke's cheek.

"Boo!"

Luke shrieked, jumping slightly "Ashton!" he smacked the laughing boy on the arm, jutting his bottom lip out in a pout.

"Sorry," Ashton laughed. Luke rolled his eyes and got his bag, following after Ashton. The two boys walked in silence to Ashton's house. It was a little awkward, but it was okay.

"Welcome to my home. You can just leave your bag here," he said with a small smile and pointed to a corner. Luke nodded and did as told. He glanced around the house as they walked to Ashton's room. It was very homey, he thought.

"Hey, mum! I have a friend over." he peeked his head into the living room where his mum was sitting on the couch. She didn't use a wheelchair anymore, but still had a hard time walking. Walking around the house was fine, she could use different object around the home for support, but if they went out the brought her crutch.

"Is it Michael?" she questioned and looked up from her book. Ashton shook his head and motioned for Luke to come so his mum could see him. He smiled and timidly waved at her "It's Luke. Mike's boyfriend." Luke's face flushed red and he looked down at his feet with a nod.

"Oh, lovely. There's snacks in the kitchen if you should get hungry," she informed and went back to her book. Luke turned around and almost bumped into Ashton. The two boys laughed and went into Ashton's room.

"She seems nice," Luke said and looked around Ashton's bed before sitting down at the edge of his bed. Ashton nodded "She is."

A bit of an awkward silence fell upon them. None on them saying a word for a while. Eventually Ashton stood up from his desk chair and exclaimed, "Well, let's get to work!" his sudden outburst made Luke giggle a bit. The blonde nodded and Ashton took a seat beside Luke on the bed "So, I was thinking that you could distract him while I went into his house," Ashton paused seeing Luke's confused expression. "I have a key," he said, then added, "As I was saying, you distract him. Take him for a walk or something. And I'll put up a banner and get it all ready for a typical Ashton-and-Michael- movie night."

Luke nodded, liking the idea. He found it really cute that Ashton wanted to do that for Michael. He also had an idea for what he was going to do on Michael's actual birthday. He was very nervous and he needed Ashton's help to set it all up. He was almost done with the song, he really hoped Michael was gonna like it. He also had another surprise for him, that was the one he was the most nervous about...

For the rest of the time they just talked about the things they were going to need for Michael's surprises and Luke told him about what he was going to give Michael. He obviously already knew about the song, but the other thing he didn't know about.
