"My mum's awake." Ashton slowly put his phone down, and slowly turned to look at Michael "My mum is awake.", he repeated "What?", Michael stood up, he had a big grin on his face "I-it was the hospital, she's awake! Mikey she's awake! I need to go see her!", he rambled, happy tears welling up in his eyes "I'll drive you! Come on!"

Ashton suddenly stopped, a blank expression on his face "I'm scared." Michael's features softened, he wrapped his arms around Ashton and squeezed him tight "It's gonna be okay."

-

"Okay," Ashton closed his eyes and took a deep breath "What if she can't remember me?" He bit his nail (A nervous habit) "Ash, of course she'll remember you. Don't worry, go in there. I'll be right out here." He nodded "Okay. Promise you'll wait here?"

"Promise."

Ashton nodded again, then opened the door and stepped in. He walked into the familiar white room he's been in so many times before. His eyes landed on the hospital bed, he couldn't hold the tears in anymore "Hi, mum." He walked over beside the bed and sat down on the chair. He took her hand in his "Ashton?" Ashton squeezed her hand "Yeah, it's me." Now she was crying as well. He kissed her hand. She looked so much stronger than the last time he was there.

"Michael is here," Ashton spoke softly "Can I see him?" Ashton nodded and let go of her hand "Of course." He kissed her forehead, and then walked over, opened the door and peaked his head out in the hallway "Mikey?" Michael looked up and met Ashton's eyes "She wanna see you." Michael smiled and followed Ashton into the room.

"Hi, Anne." He sat down on the chair on the opposite side of the bed. She looked tired, Michael thought. But definitely better. She had some cuts and bandages on her face and hands "Hi, Michael. How are you, dear?"

"I'm good. How are you? Feeling better?"

Ashton fondly watched Michael and his mum having an conversation. He fell so deeply in love with that boy that it hurt.

Friday finally came around. Michael was so excited for the date, he almost couldn't stay still. Luke was excited too, a little nervous, but mostly excited. Michael spotted Luke walking down the hall to his locker. He had his head down, and his arms wrapped around himself. He stopped at his locker and opened it. The red haired boy walked up to him and leaned against the locker beside Luke's "Hi." He smiled "Hi." Luke shyly smiled back. Michael looked into Luke's beautiful blue eyes. They were hypnotizing.

Michael looked around the hall, there wasn't many people around "Uhm, Luke? Is it okay if we move the date to 8pm? I have to do something after school." Luke frowned a little "Hey, don't frown, love. It has something to do with the date. I'll pick you up at 8, okay?" Luke nodded, blushing a little "Sorry," He whispered. Now it was Michael's turn to frown "Don't say sorry, it's okay." He caressed Luke's cheek. The bell rang, making both of them jump "Well, we better head to class." Michael chuckled "I think we have the same class? English?"

-

"Uhm, mum?" Luke's heart was beating incredibly fast, and he felt like he couldn't breath "Yes, honey?" He took a deep breath and sat down beside his mother "I-I'm going on a date... Tonight." Liz's face lit up "Oh, that's wonderful dear! With who?" She already knew who "Uhm... Michael... Uh, I-I'm gay." Luke thought Liz was gonna be disgusted by him or disown him or something, but no... She hugged him.

"I already knew. You didn't have to come out to me at all, Lukey." Luke pulled back from the hug "What do you mean?."

"You could just bring home a guy, and say it was your boyfriend, and it would be okay. Just as if you were straight." Luke's vision blurred. What did he do to deserve such a wonderful mother? They hugged again, both of them crying.
