Keith's POV-
*a few moments before Lance ran into the room*
"But, how do we get through?" I asked. I should really be more curious about how the door got there, but really, I just needed a nap right now.
"Maybe we just have to knock," Lance said as he knocked on the door. When he did, the edges of the door glowed blue and the door opened outwards. I couldn't help but gasp at how easy it was, and how Lance just simply knocking opened the door. But the other part of the reason I gasped was because the door opened up to a room full of water.
Red, what is this room?, I thought. A while passed, but they finally answered me.
Well, it's where the water Paladin's ring is. Also, it's his new room after he finally removes all the water.
Oh. Thanks Red, I thought.
"BLUE?!? Don't you dare ignore me!" Lance said out loud. I'm guessing he was having some difficulty with his element, and I had to show a sympathetic look since I realize how withdrawn from information they can be. Or at least, they could be.
"What's wrong Lance?" Allura asked. I forgot Allura didn't have a little voice in her head.
"And why could I hear whoever it was you were talking too?" Shiro added. I was surprised by what Shiro said, considering he didn't have an element.
Pidge began briefly explaining the elements and how they were somewhat sentient. Since I already knew this information, I decided to get answers for the questions I didn't have answers to from Red.
So, why can Shiro hear you guys? Also, why did it occur just now and not before when I talked to you earlier?, I thought.
The trainer's ring. The elements were infused into it. He can hear us as long as we're not active trying to block him out, and vice versa.
Just as they finished their explanation, and Pidge was still explaining the elements into more detail, I looked over at Lance as he started running into the room filled with water.
"LANCE!!!" I yelled, along with everyone else. But he didn't listen or turn around.
We all rushed to the edge of the room, but no one dared to enter. He's going to run out of air, I thought.
"I'm pretty sure being a water Paladin means you can breath underwater, Keith," Pidge said. Oh, I must of said that out loud. I looked back to Lance, checking to see if he was doing alright.
He seemed fine. Until he wasn't. He finally let his breath go, and he started to panic.
He can't breath underwater there. Blue won't let him cheat. They always liked nurturing their Paladin, but they didn't like giving them training wheels.
He struggled, as someone in a pool that wasn't getting air would. But he kept swimming towards the pillars with his ring on it. He finally got there, and weakly pulled himself up. He grabbed the ring, put it on his finger, and passed out. Nothing happened.
Just as I was about to go in and try to get him, the water was being sucked into the ring. Once the room cleared itself of the water, I ran inside to get Lance.
Before I even got to him, he sat up and started coughing up water. I froze, momentarily shocked that he was alive, but ultimately relieved. I then helped him up and laid him down on his bed.
"Hey buddy, I got you," I said to him. He looked up, and seemed to realize I was the one to get him to his bed.
There was no staring this time, but rather, his going to sleep pretty immediately. The team was watching me as I got up from besides him, and walked toward the center of the room. I was observing the other tree walls: green, yellow, and red.
