Lance's POV-
If you'd ask me what my plans were for today, my first answer wouldn't be to become an episode of Naked and Afraid: Aquatic Edition. Maybe it would've been my 3rd or 4th choice. But either way, my day started normal. Or, as normal as a day can start when you live in a hectic household with 6 siblings.
I woke up late, meaning I got last dibs on any good chores. And that also meant I didn't get to shower first, or second, or fourth. To be clear, I was third to last in line to take a shower behind the baby twins, since they can't shower without my mom or older sibling doing it for them.
Anyways, once I decided this shower thing was not going to work out for me, I decided to just get my chores over with so I could take a quick dip in the ocean. I didn't get stuck with the worst chore you could do, but I got stuck with the most. I didn't mind, I was just too tired to deal with it during summer vacation.
As the sun was around 2 hours to setting, my chores were done and I decided on a quick break before returning home. Since one of my chores was laundry, I had put all of my swim trunks to wash, and considering I pretty much couldn't get this outfit wet because Mamá didn't like me going into the ocean, I decided the best thing to do is skinny dip, fantastic idea, right?
WRONG. I'm stuck, naked in the ocean and I couldn't get back to shore. I was one of the best swimmers, but nothing I did got me closer to shore. Then I heard it, an almost whirlpool like sound. Wait, scratch that, it is a whirlpool. I panicked and tried swimming away, but the more I struggled the quicker it pulled me in. I thought it was only with quick sand!
Finally, my muscles got tired and got sucked in. As I braced for death, nothing happened. As I opened my eyes, I realized I was in an air bubble. But if that hadn't freaked me out yet, there was a glowing blue orb in the center of it. As much as I was scared, something was pulling me towards it, making me get closer until I was only about 2 feet from it. And even when every nerve in my body was yelling "get away!", some part of my mind, the one controlling my hands, made me want to touch it, and I did the only logical thing I could think of: I touched it. And then all I saw was blue.
I felt this power, energy, go through me, making me feel... different. I couldn't describe it, it's like a confidence boaster. And I realized one other thing: I wasn't in an air bubble. As I panicked, I realized I was still breathing perfectly. That's when I panicked even more. I swam to the surface, and once I could see the shore, I swam as quickly as possible home (and by quickly I mean so damn quickly I broke my person record). I put on my clothes and remembered everyone would be asleep. As I snuck in through the window, Luis, my brother, looked at me, shrugged and went back to sleep. And as I laid in bed, falling asleep, I could hear a voice in my head saying one word: Voltron.
