"Hey Proph," Dalton started, "we need to talk to you...inside." Proph stepped aside, fully opening the door and gesturing for us to come in. We walked inside and I looked around, the interior was an inviting blend of comfy and luxurious. I wonder how Proph had got here since we'd gotten out.
Proph closed the door behind us as he put a fist to his mouth yawning, "What you need bros?" Dalton nodded at me, indicating to show him. "We need help with this..." I said as I took off my top to reveal the widely spread pattern across my left arm and halfway across the left side of my chest. "...I need your help." I muttered.
Proph walked over to me and examined my arms and torso. He looked disappointed... almost like he knew this was going to happen. "You have used a great deal of energy filling those droughts, haven't you?"
I hesitated before quietly responding "yes" I said behind sheer disappointment. "Yep. I knew you would show up here eventually. It's just as I thought, output of the curses power equaling to the amount it spreads."
He stopped examining my body and took a few steps back. Dalton walked over and looked at Proph, "Do you know any way to help?" Proph noded his head, "Lucky for you I might."
He looked between the two of us and rolled up his left sleeve. Faces of shock spread between Dalton and I. Saring at Proph's left arm, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. A pattern spread across nearly sixty percent of his forearm.
I looked up at him, "But how did you..."
Proph cut me off 'In order to understand something you need to study it. Mine grew to this extent whilst I was testing the limits of my mark's power." He pulled his sleeve back down.
Dalton looked over at him and opened his mouth to speak but before he could Proph cut him off also "That day I intended to destroy the laboratory and the facility with it, but I failed." He looked so angry admitting that.
I pulled my clothing back over my torso, "Even if you didn't destroy it, that facility should be out of commission and abandoned by now." I said.
Dalton went to take a seat on the grey suede couch, "But, that facility could still hold secrets necessary to understanding our curse better" Dalton said.
Proph walked back further into his house and returned a few minutes later, "Lucky for you two I'm the smart one in this situation." He said mockingly. Dalton rolled his eyes. Proph placed a stack of papers, binders, maps, books and all sorts of paraphernalia down on his black-spotted marble and wood coffee table. "Ever since that day, I haven't stopped looking for that facility, It needs to be destroyed and I'm going to be the one to do it." I walked over to the stacks of information as Dalton began to look through it.
"What now?" I asked, but before I could talk again Dalton interrupted me, "Earlier you said you might know of a way to help. What is it and what does Pablo need to do?"
Proph leaned against a wall, eating a honey bun. When did he get that? I thought to myself. "I'll tell you both when we get to Germany."
"Germany?" Both I and Dalton said as I stood up, "Why the hell would we go to Germany?" Proph finished his honey bun, crumbling up the wrapper and throwing it into a nearby trash bin. He walked over to the table and grabbed a white three-ringed binder and flipped it open to a bookmarked page. He handed the binder to Dalton and I went over to him to look at it. Dalton's eyes widened as he examined the files. "This couldn't possibly be the facility, it's still mostly intact, although I suppose the buildings could have been repurposed and used again...How long have you known about this?" "Only a few months," Proph responded, "And I don't believe it is the facility itself but, it's the best lead we've got right now."
I took the binder from dalton to examine it further myself, "How'd you find out about this?" I asked. Proph let out a long sigh, "Explaining things is so much work man." I shot him a look and he looked back at me. "Fine." he said, "I tracked every large scale facility purchase and maintenance bills and receipts from every corner of the world 13-20 years ago. I figured with a facility that big, it must've cost a bill to keep it running properly." He yawned, "But of course that brought me out to hundred, thousands of results so I tracked every facility listed under private use, secluded areas, and that wasn't officially inspected by any form of government or agency." He took another bite of his honey bun before continuing. "Among a couple of other viable options this one stuck out like a sore thumb, being the only one stationed in Germany."
Dalton stood up and looked at me, "You know this means we're going to Germany right?" I looked over at him, setting the binder down, "Yeah, I know. Hey Proph" He looked at me and raised his eyebrows. I let out a sigh, "You got any more honey buns?"
——————————————-
We agree to fly to Germany the next day, taking a private jet in order to avoid any attention towards myself.
Me and Dalton arrived a few minutes later than Proph, however he wasn't seated waiting, instead he was digging through the mini fridge of the jet.
Me and Dalton sat down, watching him him in disappoint.
Proph walked back over to our seats from the mini fridge, handing me an orange juice. He was wearing a white crew neck sweater with black jeans and polar white high-top 'air force ones'. He opened up his own box of cheez-its as he snuggled up under a cover.
Dalton moves to sit by himself, most likely thinking of every thing that could happen while we're in Germany. Hmph, typical Dalton. He's always been one to overthink and plan every possible situation. It's the only reason I'm still alive.
I walked up to the cockpit and looked at the pilot, "Alright sir, you know where to go. We are ready." I went back to my seat, relaxing in the seat before looking over at Proph. "He Proph, can I ask you something?" He reclined his chair as far back as it could go and rolled over, "Wake me up when we get to Germany, you can ask me then." as He drifted to sleep.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up as Dalton stood, "You'd better get some sleep too, it'll make the trip go faster" I nodded as he walked back over to his own seat as I shut my eyes to sleep.

Several hours later we arrived at an airport as I woke up and Dalton was shaking Proph to wake up. Our bags were already outside as was a cab waiting for us. I handed the pilot a tip "Here you go, get yourself a nice hotel while we're here and there's extra just in case you need to take first class commercial back ok?" He nodded his head as he walked off.
I got off the plane and Dalton and Proph followed not too long after. Proph put his hand up to shield his eyes from the sunlight with a sigh. "Right when it was getting to the good part though."
