"If I remember correctly, you're stealthy, right?" Dalton whispered to me as we quietly made our way through uthe halls. "Yeah, I've always preferred To hide in the shadows and take out my enemies without being spotted." I replied back to him.
"Good. Then I'd like you to go ahead of it. Do what you can." He said. I looked at him in shock. "It's fishy. We thought this side would be full of combat, but so far their hasn't been a soul. If you scout ahead it'll be quicker and safer to redirect our focus towards backup then an advancing front." He said.
"Do you think that's safe?" Pablo asked. "Of course it's not. However it's what Cas relies on. So if he can't rely on that alone, how can we rely on him with us?" Dalton said. I took a gulp on the air. My heart started pounding. I'm nervous, however he's right.
I nodded my head. "I'll go." I said before quickly running ahead before my mind could be changed. My footsteps are quite so I can move as quickly as need be.
sHuh? What this? Stairs? But they...  they go down? Does this facility have floors underneath it? That's not good. What if all the enemies escaped down there? What if the children are down there? No, I can't think about that. I have to keep pushing forward.
I quietly crept up the stairs and slipped into an open door. That's odd. Why would they just leave this open? It's clearly a trap. I gotta go back and warm this others.
"Yeah, there's people attacking up front. We've been ordered as backup." I heard a voice say. I turned my attention away. Ken... Marz... they think they're the only ones here. I gritted my teeth. Damnit.... I guess I can't be relied on.
I grabbed a pipe and broke it off the wall. The voices stopped. I heard footsteps begin to move towards me. This is a decent sized room. Completely empty. I can't hide, I can only fight.
As soon as someone came around the corner, I threw the pipe and stabbed him in the stomach, I used my Yurie to pull my to the pipe, thrusted my hand into it and stabbing it all the way through. I then yanked it back through and spun around, knocking his partner across his head with it. My hands began to shake. This.... this is the first time I've killed someone...
Before I could have time to process it, doors slung open and a whole platoon of men barged in. I knew it. This is a trap. They all swung their weapons at me. I braved for impact but they were all blown away and then a wall of Ice lifted in front of me. I turned around to see Proph and Dalton rushing in. "Stay there." Dalton said to pablo. Pablo just sat on the stairs. Not even an ounce of retaliation? What happened to him?
The wall of ice shattered into pieces. I turned around to see two men with RPGs pointed at us, one just fired. The other.....
The rocket ignited the entire room upon being fired. Dalton tried to use his ice to shield it, but was too late, it made it through. An explosion irrupted but it wasn't near it. Actually it 15 feet above us. I almost chuckled at how far off his aim was but suddenly I heard the noise of metal scraping.
I looked down at the door and it was too late. The stairs were rigged to collapse. I didn't even get a chance to save Pablo. That wasn't coincidence. They had exactly what they needed. This was planned. They knew one of us would be there... how... how... This entire mission. We thought we were cornering them, but this whole facility is a corner...
And we walked right into it.
