It's been a few days since Proph showed up. He spilled the information to me immediately and I was easily convinced to join. I hated leaving my old life behind... but I understand that it needs to be done.
Cas on the other hand was a bit harder to convince. We had to sit down with his entire family and discuss it. His wife and daughter cried. He didn't show any expression of heartbreak agreeing to come with us. However, telling his father in law Goodbye... I caught a glimpse of the hurt. Hopefully we'll get you home soon, Cas.
Coded opened the door to his hotel room. Upon entering I saw a familiar, silver haired fool sitting on the couch. He looked up and smiled "Hey Marz and Cas, it's been a while." He said. I smiled back and responded "Likewise, Pablo."
I have to give him credit. He seems to be able to find joy even in his current state.
Proph walked straight to the back and knocked on a door. There was no response. He came back to us. "Where's Dalton?" He asked. Pablo looked frustrated and shrugged. "I don't know. He's been gone for a few days." He said. "A few days?" Proph Asked. "You think he's in trouble?"
Pablo shook his head. "Nah. Last he said was he's going to the rooftop. I went up there and didn't see any signs of struggle. I'm sure he's fine. He always does stuff like this." He said.
Proph roller his eyes and sighed. "I guess we're going to have to do this without him." He said. Pablo's face became puzzled. "Do what?" He asked
Proph walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. "I think I found something." He said while grabbing a slice of pizza.
"Remember the facility we went to a bit ago?" Proph asked. Pablo nodded. "Well, I took a quick note of the delivery vans. I've been tracking them. I think I found where they're coming from." He said.
Pablo stood up, almost eagerly "So we're going to go there?" He asked. Proph swallowed the pizza he was chewing on. "Yes. Immediately. Get ready, we're leaving now." He said.
Pablo hurried to his room to grab his stuff. Why is he in such a rush?....
Pablo returned shortly fully dressed. And we began to leave. "I'll wait here." Cas Said. We all turned around and faced him. "You sure?" Proph Asked. Cas nodded. "Yes, I don't know much about my combat abilities. If things were to go south, I don't know if I would be much help or not." He said. "Alright. It's cool." Said Proph. We waved bye to Cas and headed out the door and got in a cab outside the hotel.
Proph got in the passenger seat while me and Pablo sat in the back. A few minutes into the drive I turned to him. "You've grown quite a bit. Last time I seen you, you were what? 13?" I asked. Pablo chuckled and turned to me. "Yeah, quite a bit has changed for me. How about yourself?" He asked me.
We shared small talk for the remainder of the drive until we reached our location.
We got dropped off at a nearby neighborhood and walked through the woods into an open field. We walked a few minutes through the field until we reached a drop. In that drop sat a long yet thin building.
Proph stood on the edge looking down. He squeezed his fist and looked over his shoulder back to us.
"Sorry for rushing straight to this, but I'm certain it's in here...." he said.
"This time I won't fail."
