I fell.... and I fell deep before hitting ground. I went through that ground and hit more ground. I must have severed the ground 4 times before finally being seized. It's hard to breath. That impact knocked the air out of me.
I lifted my head and looked around me. Pieces of wood laid around me like I was it's prey. I rolled onto my back and looked up. Flooring? So I crashed through floors? They have multiple stories built underground? What is this place exactly. It's much more than what we were tested at.
I rolled back over and slowly lifted myself to my feet. What is this? Tracks? Of a train? We're inside a tunnel. I see the exit not too far away. I began to walk toward the end of the tunnel slowly, gripping my right ribs the entire time.
Something suddenly came up from the ground and grabbed my wrist. I twisted around and used my other arm to knock it away with ice. I looked around. It's pitch black one the distance. So he's come, eh?
I leaped back and began to built steps with my ice to push me back, arms began rising from the shadows and reaching at me. I used waves of ice to knock them back. The struggle continued for a bit more until my ice was completely constricted and shattered. I fell and hit the ground. The arms wrapped around me but I broke free of them. I jumped to my feet and attempted to flee but was wrapped up by my leg. I reached down to free myself but then my arms were caught. In a second all four limbs were prisoned by these black lines.
I struggled and twisted but nothing was working. There's only one option. I screamed out and pulled as hard as I can to just free one hand. I dropped to the ground and stuck my hand on the ground, releasing my urie with as much strength as I could. I've traveled through the ground and up the walls then back across to connect. In moments I became confined inside a a cube of ice. And so was the enemy. I slowly looked up and made eye contact. "I knew you would come...." I said.
"Auro."
He smiled and chuckled. "Very clever. Surrounding us in ice.. ice reflects therefore there isn't any shadows in here. I knew I would like you." He said. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "Hey..." He said. "Didn't you say you can't feel cold? Well according to your hair, your body still can." He said.
What is he talking about? I looked over at my reflection and saw my hair. It has white patches in it. What's this? Frostbite?
"So... now that you have me trapped in here what are you doing to do? Kill me?" He asked. I turned to look at him. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I'm rather too curious about your answer." He said. "No." I replied.
He closed his eyes and smiled. "What if I were to tell you that I'm going to kill everyone else? All of your friends here? Then will you kill me?" He said. "No." I said again. "You don't operate like that." I said.
"Are you sure?" He said before smiling. "Or is it that you don't care?" He asked. I didn't respond, only stared at me. "This group has held you back for too long. You only want to be free but they restrain you." He said. "No." I responded. "You killed for them! You never wanted to kill, they pushed you down this path!" He yelled to me. "Just imagine the life you could've lived. You were happy. Just you and your parents... then Pablo came. Though only two years apart, he completely changed your life once... he depleted. He's always been sick. Mom and dad always having to pay medical bills, they were stressed so they turned to substance and while Pablo was in treatment and your parents were chasing a escape, You caught the end of it! You were ignored, you were casted out! You were lonely! And you hate them! You hate your parents for caring about your brothers health more than your happiness!!" He yelled at me.
"No!" I yelled back. "And Pablo. He's the reason you're here! He's the center of all of this! If you didn't have to take care of him, you would've never had to become this! He's the biggest burden in your life!" He yelled. I grabbed my head. "No!" I yelled back, the ice beginning to crack.
"Yes! You hate your life! You hate protecting everyone. They're all just holding you back! You don't look at them as friends, they're just charity! Forced to rely on you!" He continued yelled. "That's not true!" I screamed, the ice cracking more.
"It's true! You hate them!"
"No!"
"Admit it!"
"No!"
"Just imagine your life without them. They're stopping you from that!"
"Shut up!"
"You had a future! Plans in life. You had everything granted to you and it was taken! Taken by the ones you love!"
I continued to squeeze my head.
"You hate your life but because of the people in it!"
The stress was building, I felt my eyes burning.
"Admit it! YOU HA-"
"I HATE THEM!!!"
I screamed as I looked up to the sky. The ice around me shattered into pieces and floated throughout the area. I sat on my knees looking up and tears begun to stream down my cheeks.
"I hate all of them. Mom... and dad... why... why did they ignore me. Why did they let it ruined our family! We should've been happy...We were happy... I wish... I wish I was the only one born. Maybe then they would've loved me...
Why did I survive... because they fought... I only escaped the facility because they all fought back. I should've died. They all should've died also but because of them I got to live. I never wanted, I never asked for this! I care so many sins for them... they're the reason I'm a monster...
Pablo... I hate him the most... he's the reason any of this happened. He took mom and dad from me, he brought me to the facility, he's the reason we're on this stupid quest for the fairy tale that is peace. He's the reason any of this happened. He's the reason I suffer. If he never existed, I....
I would be happy!" I said.
I continued to stare at the ceiling as the tears clouded my eyes and washed my cheeks. After a few moments without a reply, I lowered my head to face Auro. However, he was not that.
Who stood in his place was Pablo covered in his mark and tears running down his face....
How predictable.
