I sat, propped up on my elbows on the picnic table beside Calum. We were currently playing goldfish since Michael was doing his usual routine where he didn't show up but I knew he would soon.

"Got any eights?" I asked.

"Goldfish." He mumbled.

I grabbed my card, adding it to my deck. "Is this seriously how we are spending our monday in a mental hospital?"

He chuckled. "Hey! Don't ask me I wanted to sleep all day."

"That sounds nice." I smiled. I pulled out a cigarette and begin to smoke.

Calum raised an eyebrow. "Still smoking eh?"

I nodded not wanting to argue. I've never smoked in front of him before..It bugs me that they keep thinking that i'm the Mackenzie from the journal that was left behind.

"I would really hate for you to die in here because of smoking."

"Dying is a better option then spending my whole life in here." I said exhaling.

He grabbed my shoulder "Ashton wouldn't want you to give up so easily."

"Calum." I sighed. "I'm not the Mackenzie you think I am. My name is Mackenzie Ross."

"Can't you realize who you are, stop thinking your last name is ross because it isn't. I was hoping you were getting better Mac for Ashton but you obviously aren't! I'm not helping you. I hope you live a full life with that Michael dude because he isn't going to help you. I was actually willing too you deserve it more then others. So stop and try to actually realize you need it!" He snapped.

Calum stormed off back into the building. I leaned over, running a hand threw my hair.

"What got his knickers in a twist?"

"Apparently me." I sat up.

"I heard everything. What's this about you thinking you're someone else?" Michael asked.

"If I tell you then you'll think I'm insane too."

"Naah." He shook his head. "Come on we'll talk in my room."

Michael grabbed my hand and started pulling me inside.

"If this is your way of getting me in bed then your doing a bad job."

He gave me a smirk. "As if I would have sex in a mental hospital I thought you knew I was better then that."

I didn't say nothing after that, We came upon his room a few minutes later and he pulled me inside.

It was an average room it had a bed against the wall and a nightstand with a lamp except for the occasional stuff he added such as a few posters and a guitar.

"Nice room." I commented.

He shrugged. "I had to make it feel like home."

"Its better then mine I only have a beanbag."

"I'll help you remodel one day." We both sat on his bed facing each other. "Now tell me about thinking you are someone else."

"A month ago I snuck in with my best friend, I didn't want to do it but she forced me so we were walking the halls when a guard found us and we ran. He caught me while she got away then I got stuck here. Now Calum and Luke think I'm the Mackenzie that was here before me and that they sedated me to forget my memories...Wait a second I saw you that day! Do you remember seeing me with a red headed girl? She was tall, blue eyes??"

"Mackenzie...you were alone." He trailed off.

"No I wasn't." I stood up. "How come no one believes me?!"

Michael reached grabbing my arm. "Calm down we can get back your memory."

"I never lost it!" I shouted.

I stormed off, completely angry. That was enough of that for today. It angered me so much that no one seemed to believe me.

The door behind me loudly slammed shut and I threw myself on my bed.

I wanted to go home.

I missed my mom and my dad.

And I even missed Haley and my little sister, Jesse.

School.

And all my friends.

I let out a choked sob into my pillow. So this was it I would live my life into a mental hospital until eventually I just died. Were no one ever believed me...
