Everything around me was complete darkness. I moved my arms around the tight space. I ended up hitting coat hangers.

I was in a closet! And it was locked.

"Help!" I yelled out, banging on the door.

Silence.

I tried again and the door opened. It was by Violet.

She raised her eyebrow. "How did you get in there?"

I crawled out and hugged her tightly. "Dr.Carson." I breathed out. "I'm so glad to see you."

She patted me awkwardly. "Lets get to you to dinner, before they go on a shut down and start looking for you."

"Yeah um..sure." I nodded.

We both started walking towards the lunchroom. "My name is Mackenzie."

"I know, I've read your door a couple of times."

"Dr.Carson gave you them bruises didn't he?"

"Yeah but can you not tell anyone, it will just worse." I begged.

Violet grabbed my arm, pulling me aside. "He abuses me too, and tells me be quiet." She showed me the purple bruises on her arms.
"
He can't do this to us." I quickly wiped the tears coming out of my eyes.

"I know sweetheart but he can since he works here." She gave me a sympathetic smile.

"Here wear my jacket, it will hide the handprints around your neck."

I thanked her, slipping it on. When we went threw the lunch line, the lady gave us a grin and plopped down pizza on our tray. I followed Violet to a table, keeping my eyes down.

"Mackenzie this is Maggie and Chris."

They both smiled at me. Maggie was about 5'4 she slouched, and was black. Maggie also had black curls that went past her shoulders and the usual brown eyes. Chris on the other hand was an ginger with blue eyes and was about 6'1.

Oh and Maggie had a nose piercing.. I've seen them both around but I never paid attention to them.

"So what brings you here?" Chris asked. He picked up his glass, taking a sip of his water.

Maggie spoke up. "He means that you usually sit with your usual friends. And you are sitting with us. Why all of the sudden the change?"

"My boyfri- I mean friend and I aren't on speaking terms anymore. I'm mad at him. I'm just trying to avoid him at the moment, I guess."

"Oh you mean Michael." Violet wiggled her brows. My eyes widened.

"We can tell you both had something, we won't tell."

"Was it that obvious?" I said.

"A little bit." Chris said.

Calum had slid into the empty chair beside Maggie.

"Mac, I've been looking for you and so has Luke. We've been worried sick."

"I'm sorry Cal. I was in a session then I got caught up talking to Violet." I lied.

It was a little bit true, I did have a session then talked to Violet on the way here after she found me.

"Oh, Who's violet?" Violet became quiet.

"Me." She murmured.

"Its Calum... I'll catch you later Mac..We need to talk."

Calum left, leaving before I could get a chance to reply.

"He's such a cutie." She sighed.

Violet leaned forward, gazing at the wall in front of me.

"No way, you like Calum." I gaped.

Maggie winked. "More than you know. She talks about him all the time."

"Yeah but he would never give me a chance. I mean look at me, I'm accused of killing my parents and I have PTSD. I've tried talking to him but I get nervous before I even say a few words."

Chris patted her hand. "Awh girl you got it bad."

Calum and Violet. It connected and I could picture it. Since my relationship was out the drain, I could play matchmaker.

"I'm going to play matchmaker!" I grinned. Violet panicked, "No, he can never know about my high school crush."

"Please." I begged. "I'm good at it."

She contemplated for a moment before agreeing. In my mind I did a happy dance.

"I'll catch you later." I said, running off to find Calum.

"Calum!" I smiled. He turned, raising his eyebrow. "Yes?"

"I might've found you a girlfriend."

"You're talking about Violet aren't you?"

I shifted from foot to foot. "Maybe but you two would make a cute couple."

Calum flipped to the next page of his book, completely ignoring me.

"Please Calum, Just talk to her." I plopped down on the arm of the chair.

"No."

"Pleaaaase." I said a little bit louder.

"I will if you talk to Michael."

"Calum no I can't, and you know why."

I just couldn't. I would end up caving into him and forgiving him.

He glanced up at me. "It's not like I'm telling you to go kiss him." He closed his book, grabbing my hands. "Michael is hurting as much as you are, he came to me crying. You should at least be friends with him or hear the whole story and not something Ella told you. Michael loves you. He went threw losing his memory to protect you and you're ignoring him. You need to do the right thing."

I flinched back. "You don't understand! I love him too but I just can't go back to him yet, he hurt me, he lied to me, and he ripped my heart out. You are supposed to be my friend not his but I guess thats not the case. I wish you were still hating him."

I didn't regret what I said, Calum was supposed to be my best friend but then he took the side of a killer. How could you do that?! I didn't even let him respond before I walked out the door, to my room.

Luckily we were dismissed to our rooms after dinner. A place where no one could bother me.
