~unedited~

The October air is a little chilly, Jimin noted as he leans back against his seat on the veranda. His eyes wonder above as the rain begins to sprinkle down from the clouds and he frowns as he pulls his notebook closer to his chest. He's bored to be quite honest, and the rain is starting to put him to sleep. Typically Grandma Park would scowled him for allowing himself to slip into slumber somewhere other than inside her home, but currently she's gone grocery shopping. Jimin insisted coming with her, knowing fully well how long the trip takes her by herself, but she refused after finding out about his big end of the year project.

He groans as tosses his notebook aside and stands to go grab a hoodie from his closet. He doesn't bother closing the front door knowing well it wont take him long to grab a hoodie and get out of there. He takes his time climbing the stairs but once reaching his closet he hazily grabs a random oversize hoodie and makes his way downstairs. The front door is how he left it, cracked open. He can hear the harsh rain before he can see it as he steps back out onto the front porch.

He slides the large grey hoodie over his head and frowns as he realizes that it belongs to Taehyung, who he hasn't engaged conversation with for almost a whole month now. All his free time is spent by Yoongi's side, his friends no longer there to distract him. He sighs as he adjusts the extra fabric to his liking before sitting on the edge of the veranda and sticking his feet out into the drizzling rain.

A load familiar roar of an engine catches his attention.

He feels his body heat up and face sweat at just the sound as he pushes himself off the dirty wood. The vehicle turns on his road, again he cant exactly see it just hears it approaching. He leans against a pole holding the veranda up that has chipped white paint. Jimin fights back the urge to roll his eyes at the sight of the familiar male waving him over to the drivers window.

He hesitates before sliding the hood over top of his head, hiding his natural black hair as he begins to waltz towards the vehicle. Once reaching the drivers window he noticed it was down.

"What is it hyung?"

"Okay since when did you call me that" he cant help but burst into giggles at the sight.

"Sorry, what is it Hoseok?"

"Eh you don't really call me that eit-" Hoseok is cut off by a rude scoff from Jimin, "okay fine. Jimin where the hell have you been? You are aware Taehyung thinks you hate him!"

"I dont!" Jimin shouts sightly annoyed that he had to have this conversation in the rain or the fact he even has to have this conversation. "I just-"

"Just what?!"

"I've been busy alright!"

"What to busy to tell Tae you arent mad!" Jimin's eyes narrow at the accusations Hoseok is making, "get in the truck". Hoseok left it at that and cranked up his window. Jimin couldn't hold back his eye roll as he walked around the front of the vehicle to the passenger door and yanked it open and sliding into the seat. He left the door open not caring if the rain damages the interior. "Why are you so busy? Don't say its because of that delinquent ?"

It took everything in Jimin not to scream at that, but he forced himself to swallow his spit and along with that his words.

"Tell Taehyung- don't tell Taehyung" Jimin shrugs, "I don't care anymore Hobi".

And with that he slides out of his seat and slams the door shut and sprints to his veranda. He has the strong feeling he's been lied to and now Hoseok has been roped in to. He watches and lowers his hood as Hoseok pulls into someones driveway to turn around. He speeds up but slows down the closer he gets to Jimin's house. "I don't even know why he misses you!" and with that he watches as Hoseok disappears down his street.

The words of course stung and he felt tears prickle at his eyes, his best friend is making him look like an awful person.

His actions are making him look like an awful person.

Jimin stands there for a second letting the words sink in even if he knows he shouldn't, his stomach churns as he wipes his eyes on his friends hoodie. He realizes he didn't mean what he had said to Hoseok- he does care about Taehyung knowing he isn't mad, not mad enough to fight about it anyways. He just wants to know if he's been lied to.

He begins to dig for his phone which he recalled sitting by his discarded notebook, it is. He picks it up and immediately starts looking through his contacts and it dawns on him then.

Jungkook's contact isn't here also.
