(Y/N) POV

If there is text that looks like this then it is internal dialog

It was finally the day! I'd just landed and gotten a Uber after waiting for 20 minutes for someone to get here and was on the way to my new apartment.

"Just up that road I think" I say to the man who kindly accepted to drive me, He nods his head flicks on his indicator.

"So where are you from?" he asks, he could probably tell I wasn't from here because of my accent.

"I'm from (y/c), and I'm guessing you're from queens?" I say over the sound of the loud traffic.

"Yeah how'd you guess" We both laugh. He drives to the end of the street and drops me off, "Thank you!" I yell as he speeds away to get to his next costumer. I glance around the empty street, trying to look for anything I remembered from being shown around last summer; but nothing seemed familiar. Not over thinking anything I grab my extremely heavy bags and start walking, I really regret packing so much but I mean I never intended on being lost the first day of being here. I keep walking for what seemed like forever and being the anxious person I am I kept thinking about how I wasn't going to get home till 2am but didn't want to ask for directions because social anxiety was my best friend.

As night starts to fall I decide to just go into the nearest shop and try using google maps or whatever to try and get home. I walk into some place called Delmar's and sit down exhausted, I push my bags under the table and put my head in my hands. At this moment I really wish I was at my apartment in bed or cooking dinner or something, anywhere but here. I pull out my phone and plug my address into my it and at that exact moment it dies.

"Omg, are you kidding me! Just my luck." I slam it down on the table and run my hand through my hair.

Of coarse on the very first day I get here I get lost, my phone dies and now I have no clue what time it is.

The guy from the counter comes around to my table and pats me on the head.

"Hey, are you alright?" I jump a little.

"Yeah, yep, great" keeping my head down, I give him a thumbs up.

"You don't look 'yeah, yep, great.'" I look up and see an older man with a beard looking at me, he seemed nice but right now I really am not in the mood for talking.

"Ok, fine. I'm lost, my phone's dead, I just moved here and I have no clue where I'm going." I spit at him. He took a step back and kneeled down to me.

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, I didn't mea-" I start to say, but he cuts me off mid sentence.

"Look kid it's almost 9 o'clock and a young lady of..." He looked at me and gestured with his hand.

"16"

"A young lady of 16 shouldn't be out this late, without a phone or anyone with her. But my shop closed 10 minutes ago. I can't let you stay here, kid you gotta go somewhere else" he looked at me and patted my knee before standing up.

"Look, there's a place across the road that is usually open this time of night. You could go in there till morning maybe?"

"Yeah maybe" I purse my lips together and rub my eyes. I start to get up and roll my suitcase out from under the table, place my bag on my back and make my way out. The shop owner soon follows and shuts the door after him.

"Thank you sir" I say, he nods his head and starts walking away.

It was so quiet at this time of night, the occasional car and person would go by but nothing like (y/c). I didn't immediately start walking but just sat down for a while on my suitcase. I knew it wasn't quite past 9:30 yet but it felt a whole lot later, I looked down at my stupid phone and clenched it in my hand. I threw it to the ground then ran my hands through my hair and wiping away a tear that escaped my eye. I heard a small voice but kept my head down, I didn't want to deal with anything else at the moment.

"Hey ma'am?" his voice was high pitched with a very thick accent.

"Hey ma'am?" he said it a little louder this time, I know he is getting closer. I kept ignoring the person until they were standing right in front of me.

"U-um hey ma'am, I don't know if you heard me but are you ok?" His voice was more muffled up close. I just kept my head down.

"hey Karen, what do I do?" he whispered to no-one.

"No Karen, i'm not asking that."

Who was he talking to?

"U-um hi, do you know your name?" he asked

What a stupid question

"Yes of coarse I know my name." I say looking up at the strange boy. He was wearing a red mask with a red and blue body suit.

"Ok cool." He says to me then turning around.

"Karen what now?"

Who the hell is Karen!?

"Well hi I'm Spider-man, if you would like to tell me what's wrong maybe I could help you."  He puts one of his hands on his hips and stands there.

Oh what the hell, can't hurt anyone telling the story one more time.

"I am lost." I say looking at him and wiping a tear away from my eye.

"Oh a-ah ok, have you tried google maps it's qui-"

"My phone's dead."

"Well do you know where you're meant to be going?" He didn't seem fazed that I stopped him in the middle of his sentence.

"Kinda, I know the address. Well at least I think I do." I say whilst he fumbles around trying to find something.

"Here, take this and put the address in." I take the phone from his hand and start typing. When I put the address in he stops and takes the phone back.

"OH HEY I LIVE-" he coughs.

"I mean yeah I know where that is i'll take you." He puts his phone back in his pocket and holds out his hand, I grab it and stand up.

"Isn't it a bad thing to go places with people you don't know?" I ask him, pulling my bags to stand upright.

"You know me, I'm Spider-man!" he brags

Spider-man? more like Spider-boy

"Never heard of him." I look up at him and screw up my face. I grab my bags and we start walking.

"Do you need any help with your bags?" He asks

Oh god do I

"A-ah yeah that would be nice." he walks around and takes my backpack off my back.

"Geez, what do you have in here? Rocks?" he scoffs.

"No not really, just a bunch of school books." I say looking at all the street lights as we pass

"Oh cool! you go to school here?"

"Yeah I am starting on Monday, I'm a sophomore." I replied. Soon enough our conversations came to an end.

"Welp, here we are." he says pointing at the building behind him.

"Need any help getting up?" Although I did want keep talking to this Spider-man, since he was the only person that I kinda knew, it was already late so I should probably just go up myself.

"U-um no I think I'm ok, thank you though." he hands me back my bag.

"Thank you 'Spiderman'."

"No problem." he tips his imaginary hat and swings away.

I watch him as he leaps from building to building then, when he's out of sight, I drag myself up to my room. Shove the key into the lock and throw my things down before collapsing onto the bed and passing out.
