23. You take my breath away

Peter and I spent the rest of the night being harassed by everyone else, who all seemed more excited that we were dating then ourselves. We kept talking and talking and talking and by the time it was 4am most people went to sleep, accept for Peter and me. We decided to go back to the compound, but because of Tony, Peter wasn't exactly allowed inside my room. Mr Stark told F.R.I.D.A.Y to notify him every time Peter was either in my room or I was in his, so instead of going to the rooms we just went to interns lounge. Trust Tony to fit out a whole ass lounge just for all the interns here, it has a kitchen and couches and a big ass TV, which is great don't get me wrong.

Peter and I were just laying on the couch together watching another movie and before I know it I had fallen asleep in his arms, but when I woke up he wasn't there. I rustle around shoving my head into the pillow he must have put under my head and feel something crumple underneath me. I shove my hand under myself and feel around for something until I grab a piece of paper and hold it in front of my face. It wasn't exactly easy to read since the most sleep I would've been able to get is around an hour since we only just got back and the sun looks like it's rising. My eye try to focus on the unusually neat writing.

"I didn't want you to get in trouble with Mr Stark so I left you on the couch and went back home to have a quick rest. I'll be back soon because we have training today so I'll see you then. From your boyfriend :) x"

I smile reading the note before I'm interrupted by a little noise coming from behind me.

"I am Groot." I quickly turn around to see Groot perched on the coffee table, swinging his legs off the edge.

"Who is this boyfriend the twig speaks of?" Thor's deep, manly voice says from around the corner as he walks in.

"Ahhhh no one." I say shoving the piece of paper under my shirt and staring straight into his eyes.

"I am Groot." he says again crossing his arms.

"The little twig man seems to think that it is someone and I think I believe him." he says laughing a little. I can't let anyone know about Peter and I because as soon as someone knows, everyone knows.

"Mmmm nope, just wrote a letter to myself." I give him one of Peter's famous smiles, one of the ones where he looks like that polite cat. Thor just laughs before walking away and requesting 'flat cakes with pop-tarts.', to be honest I still don't know why he calls them flat cakes, we've told them that they're called pancakes enough times. I get up and place groot on the top of my head, he sits takes a grip on my hair before we start to make our way into the kitchen to make some 'flat cakes' for everyone.

*Time Jump*

I finished getting changed into my workout gear and grabbed my water bottle before making my way down to the gym. Today it was just Peter and I doing combat training, Steve and Wanda were meant to come around half way through but until then Peter and I will just use our powers against each other trying new things. I've been working on trying to catch people with the earth recently, I haven't been able to try anything else because how am I meant to trap someone with water without causing a bigger incident. As I walk into the gym I see him sitting there on the bench, phone in hands and a smile on his face, making me smile. As soon as he sees me he runs up to me and gives me a big hug, spinning me around as we laugh together.

"You ready to be amazed." I say to him with a smirk on my face.

"Only if you are" He laughs back, begging to take our places on the mat. He jumps on the balls of his feet whilst I rise my hands in the air.

"Ready?" He asks.

"Ready." I say giving him a small smirk. He quickly shoots a web at my hands binding them together, I just melt them off by making a fire in my hands. He then tries running at me, shooting webs onto the walls and swinging around me. Suddenly I feel a pain in my head, making me clench my teeth and push my shoulders back. Involuntarily I stop him from moving by bringing roots up from the ground, wrapping around his legs and keeping him still. Then grabbing his arms and hooking them on the roof with more roots so he's doing a star pose. I try to stop myself but I keep going, stretching his arms out until he is completely helpless.
