I instantly regret wearing a shirt and a plaid shirt as soon as we walk in the Magical Ice Kingdom, I should’ve at least brought a coat with me. I just shrug it off and hunker down to fix Avery’s coat and gloves.

“You still feel cold?” I ask her and she shakes her head.

I smile at her and just before I stand up, someone puts a coat over my shoulder.

“I told Andy to bring you a coat.” Rye smiles, as I stand up straight.

“You are so sweet, thank you.” I say, smiling back at him.

I wear it properly, putting my arms into the sleeves before we continue to walk. After a couple hours, it is getting late already. So far, we are having a lot of fun together with the kids. Now we are waiting for our turn for the Giant Observation Wheel, which is our last stop before we go ice skating.

“We are next!” Shaun says, as the conductor walks over to us and lets us in.

“Shaun, be careful.” Rye shouts after him.

His little brothers run towards the pod and get in whilst Rye, Avery, and I follow behind them. As the pod go up, I look out the glass and smile; I just love being at a high place and gazing at city lines. The dark sky makes the view even more beautiful, highlighting the London skyline. I look away and turn to Rye, he was smiling at his phone before looking up at me.

“What’s with the smile?” I ask.

“Nothing, just taking some photos of the beautiful view.” he says, turning to the side and continues what he was previously doing.

I smile a little and pull my phone out and start to take photos of the skyline whilst the twins do their vlog. We only have fifteen minutes and I want to make the most out of it, we also take a couple photos together until the ride was already over.

“Where do we go next?” Brooklyn asks, as they come over to us.

“Skating!” Shaun and Sammie enthusiastically say in sync.

We all agree and start to walk to where their ice rink is. As we walk there, my phone starts to vibrate. I take it out from my pocket and check the caller ID, it’s Melissa.

“Alexa, I am now at Winter Wonderland, where are you?” she asks.

“We’re on our way to the ice rink,” I reply. “let’s just meet there.”

   “Alright, bye.” she replies.

I hang up and put it back into my pocket and turn to Avery.

“Your mom’s already on her way.” I say to her.

“Aw, is she going to pick her up already?” Andy asks in a sad tone, furrowing his eyebrows.

“Yeah.” I look down at Avery with a small smile.

I am going to miss her, it’s just sad that we only get to be with each other for a day but at least, we had fun. I breathe out and ruffle her hair, before we continue on walking. Later on, Melissa arrives and Avery immediately runs towards her.

“Hey, thanks for looking after her.” Melissa says, as they walk towards us with Avery in her arms.

“It was my pleasure, Lissa. You should take her at Somerset more often, Nana was really happy to be with her.” I reply.

“Yeah, I really should.” she sheepishly chuckles, as she looks at her daughter. “Oh, well, we have to go home, we’re going back to California first thing in the morning.”
