It's half-way through the night, and Epifanio couldn't sleep. He lied on his back staring at the ceiling. He kept worrying about Camila. 'She plans to stay, but I know she's uncomfortable. How do I fix this?'

"Epi?" Camila asked, breaking his thoughts. "What are you still doing up?"

"I'm just thinking, that's all," he responded quickly.

"About what?"

"I just... I mean... I'm glad you're staying, but I know you're still uneasy about it."

"Oh. Epi, I'm fine with it, really. After a few days, I should be just fine."

"I hope you're able to keep your word."

"Have I ever broken it before?"

"No, no you haven't."

"Exactly," she stated promptly, moving closer to him. "Now, let's get some sleep. The wedding is tomorrow."

Epifanio went to sleep. However, he had a horrible nightmare. Any other dreams he had, he didn't remember. The one thing that couldn't leave his mind was that one nightmare he dreamt of. His worry increased, thinking that this tomorrow was not all said and well.

Epifanio opened the car door to let Camila and his daughter step out. Together, they walked inside. Many people were there. Boaz, Manuel, and a few others they knew. Manuel was the first to greet the family.

"We're glad to have you here," Manuel said.

"Thank you for inviting us," Epifanio responded.

Suddenly, Boaz walked over pretending to be drunk out of his mind. He went straight over to Camila and attempted to hug her.

"What the hell Boaz!" Manuel exclaimed quietly so the others wouldn't hear

"What the hell Boaz!" Manuel exclaimed quietly so the others wouldn't hear.

"I just want to hug my savior," Boaz responded.

"You're acting like a fool," Manuel said. Boaz walked away; angry at his brother. "I'm sorry about that. He can be an asshole sometimes."

"You're telling me," Camila said under her breath to make sure Manuel didn't hear her. Epifanio, on the other hand, forced back a laugh.

Manuel introduced him to some other guests. One of them was a woman who had brought a cat with her. They greeted them back respectfully.

"I'm going to be outside for a minute," Camila said. "I need some air."

Epifanio followed her. His nightmare had been of Camila getting shot outside. She stood at a railing, staring out into the distance.

"Epi, I know you're there," she said abruptly.
