(Next Day)
Camila woke up early in the morning. Epifanio was still asleep. She got up and walked into the closet. She took one of his shirts off the hanger and put it on. Camila walked over to the drawer and pulled out a watch. It was the one she'd given him for their 25th anniversary.
"What are you doing?" said Epifanio from the closet door.
He walked over and kissed her. He saw that she had put on his shirt and noticed the watch in her hand. Epifanio smiled and wrapped his arms around her.
"I remember that night," Epifanio said.
"I do too," Camila replied.
"You held a knife to my throat."
"I'd rather forget that part.... Sorry about that too."
"It wasn't you fault. Jealousy got the best of you."
"Yes, it did. I'd really appreciate if you didn't give her anything of ours."
"Trust me when I say I gave her nothing else."
"Thank god for that," she muttered under her breath.
"I heard that."
Camila's face turned red. She was flustered. Epifanio laughed at her embarrassment. Camila didn't think that it was funny at all. She kicked the side of his leg. Epifanio looked at her gleaming.
"Estás sonriendo como un tonto (You're grinning like a fool)," she said.
"¿No estoy permitido? (Am I not allowed to)" he responded, kissing her. "I need to head out for a while. I hate to leave you here alone."
"I'll be fine. I can take care of myself. Besides, my father is a lousy shot. He meant to hit Cortez, not me."
(Few hours later)
Epifanio had been gone for hours. He said he needed to head out, but it wasn't to take too long. Not only that, but he wouldn't answer his phone. Camila was deeply worried. Just then, a text appeared on her phone screen. It read: If you want to see him, you'll come to this address.
Camila stared at her phone. She didn't know who it was. Not only that, but she was really worried. Someone had her husband. When was it going to end? She went to the address. After arriving, Camila was not pleased at all.
She arrived at the address. Camila recognized the building. She was not happy at all. The property belonged to her father. He had taken her there when he had kidnapped her that one time in the night from Arizona. Camila went up to the door and knocked. Her father opened the door. Her expression was more hurt than it was angry.
"Nice to see you again Camila," he said.
"Where is he?" she asked.
"Why don't you come inside first before asking questions."
