Living on an island is all I want to do

The sun on my skin
Sand on my toes
Wind in my hair
Salt on my face

The beauty of the palm trees
And sunsetting skies

The sunrises early in the morning

And so will I.

I'm ready to go.
I'm ready to disappear.

The island will love me,
And I shall treat her well.

The island will love me,
And I shall take care of her.

The island will love me,
And I shall love her in return.

The island is beautiful,
And it makes me feel so whole,
When I step on her grounds
I feel new,
Fresh,
And happy.

I only want to be here because I know I will be happy.

Home has nothing for me.
Home is not home.

The island is where I shall stay.
The island is where I shall be safe.
The island is where I will no long be upset.
The island is where I will be home.

I'm drunk and high and a little bit at peace,
For Jamaica I have found my place.
For Jamaica I have found one love.
For Jamaica I have found no problems.

That's there motto isn't it?
One love,
No problems,
Respect.

What I wish I could find in New York
What I will never find in New York.

I need a new home.
I need a new place I can call mine.
I need a new place to feel free.

Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and the list can go on.

For I have found comfort in somewhere I do not belong.

The island life is for me.
The island life is for me.
